Bump to show.
1) Spellcheck. So we can actually read people's bug report posts. 2) Put all the stickies at the top of the forum page and put a separator between them and the other threads. 3) Automatically block posts that are all caps. Anyone else have ideas?
Brad's mom is a wookie. How do I know? Beacuse I'm not burdened by facts and reality like the rest of you losers! I believe the word you're looking for is Truthiness : The quality of stating concepts or facts one wishes or believes to be true, rather than concepts or facts known to be true. (as
Or, you can just use firefox liek all the "cool kids"
maybe the AI just sucks when it comes to bonus tiles? this is so obvious to every sentient being playing 1.0x, why are there so many absurd explanation attempts in this thread? 'Cause not everyone is playing 1.0x. Many are playing 1.1b4.
Pshh, just call it Master of Wizardry or something.
Yay! FInally! But don't rush it for us, we can wait!
Uhh no. Works fine for me. Are you sure you didn't accidentally click one of teh buttons and screwed up your FoW?
i was wondering if my computer was good enough to run the game because i am about t go and buy it form the store. the specs are 2.53 gigs proc, 768mb mem, 256mb ati 9200 and i have like 1.7gig of hard drive space allocated for memory or virtual or somtin don't remeber and i can not check i am at school but can some one tell me i
@Alfonse: Ehh, i like it this way. Keeps it nice and simple. Less microing=GOOD!
NLC is the best. It's cheaper to build (300 vs 350) than the DS and makes more research points (22 vs 20). You can't use techs that you capture that are of a different alignment than yours BUT you can use their buildings if you capture them.
I play normal, everything common-abundant, tech very fast. Typically, i buy 1 factory, build 1 morale, 2 more factories, 1 research, then after that i go on bonuses and what i need rigt now. Starports usually come fairly late (or nto at all) because i play peacefully.
Huh? WHat video are you talkign about? Can you play the game? Try to be more specific.
You can always set your planets to focus on research when they don't build anything. The planet won't research as well, but if your neighbor decides to knock on your door you can quickly switch to military and beat the !@#$ out of them quickly. THe most important thing is the flexibility it allows you.
Heh heh, i had one game where my "Super Battleships" had 97 movement. About 6 hyperwarp3's, the rest came from the 50% more speed event and wonders/super projects. That's 6 and a half parsecs a turn! I only had 3 of them, but needless to say, they beat the !@#$ out of everything.
Make sure you typed in you Serial number correctly. If you got the special edition (collectore, limited, etc.) make sure you enter the Serial number, not the collector's edition number. If you're European, go here: https://www.galciv2.com/paradox/
I think the only wonder that gives your ships a "massive" bonus to stats is the omega defense system which doubles their hp. Their's really no reason to keep more than 1 or 2 ships in orbit. I'd rather deploy them and intercept the attackign fleet, rather than let them "knock on my front door."
Actualy, i read soemwere that the save-reload thign is deliberate. Why? To keep you from saving and reloading every single turn till you get whatever you want.
Sounds like you had this problem for a while. When you get a persistent, problem like crashes, invisible ships, POST it! Post it on the forums and someone will get you help. You can also go to Galciv's IRC channel (it's in one of the stickies) and ask for help there. And the info's in the readme. Just scroll to the bottom of the really short, 2-page readme. But i'm using v1.1b4, so your readme may have been different. European Users
Lucky ----. It takes me that logn just to START a game on small with 5 opponents.
Cool! But if you've got 7 and a half QUADRILLION (Did i get that right?) credits, you should've won a long time ago.
I'm High tax, low pop. I play on small maps common-abundant, and with only 5 billion (10 on capital) per planet, i usually have 300-500 surplus AND i have 100% morale with 80% tax. High population just makes thinsg very messy as you need to build a lot of morale buildings to keep 'em happy. I'd rather build stock markets to boost my ecnomy, rather than farms.
YAY! Trolling time! If you get a bug, post it, along with your debug.err. Chances, are some froum browser will see your post, and you'll get a solution within 24 hours. A little patience is all it takes.
Are there any large or gigantic scenarios in the campagin? My computer's not very good, and barely runs medium games, so i'm afraid it'll crash (due to lack of memory probably) IF i play on larger maps.
