I love all the new technologies, especially stealing / trading them with other civilizations and acquiring new buildings. However, it's a little hard to keep everything organized when scrolling down the list to select which one to construct next on a planet. Would it be possible to have another couple of sort buttons at the top of the building selection list? Specifically, one could read "Best." It would remove from the selection list all but the buildings that provide the MOST of what

That bug has been in there a while now. I reported it prior to this version here on the discussion boards, but I supposed they didn't examine it. Alan Emrich
Yes. Once they get back into my territory they might peel off for another target. That's why I always design slow freighters now; so they stay away from home and "suck up" enemy fleets and keep them far away from me. I've noticed that the speed of the freighter doesn't seem to have a direct impact on the value of its trade route income, which is a shame. That would be a nice incentive for upgrading freighters on existing trade routes... Alan Emrich
Running the last Beta, I've found a way to win that feels like I'm cheating. If I acheive GALACTIC PRIVATEERS, my merchant ships can't be shot out of space. Okay, that's cool; that's what I paid for, right? But when I'm at war with an AI player, they don't seem to know that. They fleets waste all their time each turn snuggling up next to my merchant ships in their empire, never killing them, and never coming after me. It's like they don't know they can't kill my merchant ships and just
RE: First Strike The way I would like to see a "combat sequence" performed in a space battle is not one side and then the other (the current system). Even 'simultaneous' application of combat results across the board, while an improvement, could be a missed design opportunity. To simulate 'maneuver' in a space battle situation, I would let the ships with the fastest speed and smallest hull sizes fire first. Add the ship's speed to its hull size value, and the highest-number
I've already tossed my suggestions about an espionage / security model, but what I'd really like to do is a strategy guide (like the good old days). I don't know if Stardock has licensed that out to a publisher yet, nor if that publisher has selected an author, but they can keep me in mind.... <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_
Back in the day, I would have been the CGW reviewer for this game. I hope he loves it as I do. And, no, avoid multi-player. Perfect the game for solitaire play. Alan Emrich, former Strategy Games Editor of CGW magazine
I would LIKE to enjoy this game, but after the opening cinematic, the game goes to the main game screen and my mouse can't click on ANY of the buttons! It'll click on the opening cinematic to end it, but once on the main game screen, the only place the mouse works is to minimize or close the window the game starts in! Is there some way to start the game NOT in a window? Maybe that will help. Alan Emrich
