I'd like to see the option to play music from say the mydocuments\music folder. I'd like to listen to my own music while playing this game

when im playing in a huge galaxy in the end-game with hundreds of ships flying around my game bogs down badly, at thats with 3000 or so poly ships. Those designs look great, but man my computer can't handle that beaty:D

my game used to lag a lot, and crash when alt-tabbing at first, but then my computer freed up more RAM automatically. It now runs smooth as silk. If your computer doesnt do that automatically, try freeing some RAM manually or plug in some extra. This crash is due to your computer, not the game. (at least that was the case for me)

I too want multiplayer, but only after all the bugs and glitches have been removed from the original and the game has been tweaked to near perfection. Then we can add on.

I have the same problem, I'm currently looking around my harddrive to see where all the original ships are, maybe I should put everything there.

I downloaded a couple of ship packs, logo packs and portrait packs. It then tells me to extract the files to galciv2/ships or galciv2/logos or galciv2/portraits but I don't have such folders. Do I have to create the folders and put em in there, or is the readme wrong and should I place the files elsewhere? thank you for any help

I used to love anomalies...but everytime I almost got to one my neighbour would snatch it away right in front of me. No I turn them to rare so the AI doesn't get too much of an advantage. Anomalies can be pretty broken, if you get to them first.

like a few people before me said, give everything some time. The GC2 stardock team is the most user supportive bunch of people ever. If people have a problem with something, they will fix it. Look at how young the game still is, and ho wmany updates have already been made available. More fixes have been made in the first few weeks then some games get in their lifetime. I expect the AI to be fixed for all the problems you mentioned within 3 updates. (so

Yes, I always play with the same custom race. I get my medium, large and huge designs as soon as I research the corresponding hulls. But I don't get my tiny and small hules even after I researched the corresponding hulls

basically, to win on normal + diplomacy is your greatest buddy...winning there revolves around trading stuff. Anyone else think thats a pretty bad way to win? I mean, the poor AI doesn't stand a chance! Trade em a crappy planet for techs then invade the planet??? Majesty diplomation, buy all their techs and sell them all your techs for 50,000+ gold. I'd like to see an improved custom ship save system. I created all the designs, and I'd like to use them in other games...but I have to wait an eternity to get them because of the tech requirements. I won a game by alliance victory just now. I basically spammed freighters all over the place and got my diplomacy to majesty. Then I sold all my techs to everyone..got like 20,000 total for it. I then used that money to bride the most powerful civilization into an alliance with me. I also payed all his enemies to make peace. I'd like to see the option to add our species logo to our ships...a buddy of mine uses Darth maul as his logo and has his ships black/red...I'd kill to see those babies fly around with darth maul painted on their sides

Check if there is enough room on your harddisk...you never know What also works for me every now and then is to defragmentate your hard disk before installation. I had the same problem with a different game, this worked for me.
