OK just checked!!!! Sorry for the double post but the archive process is messed up. Come on stardock, get your act together and think of the people without native internet access. I am now screwed as the archive I have does not fix the bug with fow yet SDC says I have the latest version and cannot update the game with SDC. I hate to say it but unless there are going to be stand alone patches, this game is going bye bye and I will no longer support Stardock.

Ok, so I installed via the archive feature but my game still says 1.5x2 yet in SDC it says 1.5x.72. Is there a reason why it does not say 1.5x3 in the game like it should? Also, just to note, there is no way to update it any further as SDC says it is the latest version. Any help or way to check if I am in the correct version?

Ok, so here are a couple of bugs that are very (very very) annoying. 1. The hyper warp drive (first version) does not have the hardpoint in the center, it is off to the side a bit which causes symmetrical issues. 2. If you build a super structure (only one allowed per planet, ie fusion reactor) but decommision it before it is built, you are not able to build another one. Actually I just tested, even if it is built and decommisioned later, you can't build another one. <br

Nope, I just tested this and it is definately bugged. This needs to be address. Topic creator, please send this bug to the devs. Thank you!!!

Bug fixes for everyting mentioned!!!! And.... Please go through all the ship parts and hulls and make sure that they are symmetrical with the hardpoints. I know that alone will be a huge fix, but it will make me very happy.

Ok so I am playing as the Yor collective and I have the large ship hull. I just got the regular hyper drive and I go to put it on my ship in a pair. One on either side of the back of the ship. I notice they do not match up. I tried some other parts and I noticed the same thing. Is this a known issue??? I hope this gets fixed soon because the ships don't look right unless they are symmetrical.

elcid11; keep trying. I don't have an internet connection at home either, but by perseverance, I was able to install SDC then DA and its recent patch. Unfortunately, it's a while back so I can't remember how I did it. I know it took me a couple of times but it did work. The patch was easier, its installing SDC that's the hard bit. what gets me is that I beleive the patches used to be stand alone. I never had to get SDC until DA (to download DA) and I had an updated game for about a year now. I understand that SDC is Stardock's form of ant-piracy, but the problem is that its not easily identified prior to buying. OK, so I tested the archiving of patches using stardock central. I was able to archive just fine. So I moved the archived folders over to my computer without internet access. No problem there. I installed stardock central on the non internet computer and guess what??? You have to have internet access to even install stardock central. Even if you choose the option to fill out the stardock.net info later, it still trys to connect, and if it can't, it will fail to install completely

I have all those patches too, but for DA there needs to be stand alone patches. That way I can play any patch I want whenever I want. Plus the fact that you have to activate the game is the protection. Please stardock release the stand alone patches!!! I will even pay for them if I need to.

Please Stardock make all the patches stand alone. Not that I hate sdc, but I prefer to have all patches on my harddrive. I tried to archive from sdc but that does not work like I wanted it too, it archives the entire game, and that is too big to have in the backup folder. Please make stand alone patches like you used to!!!!

Does the seriel number for the gold edition have 30 digits or 28 digits??? Thanks!!!

Will DA have its own, seperate sig.bin file like galciv 2? Or will it be a shared sig.bin file so I can update both on one cd key?

So this is really minor and needs to be fixed. Go to new game and pick the custom race. Click next to go to the attributes screen. Click save to save the race then click save again and delete the save you just made. If you try and delete a saved custom race the confirmation that pops up says "string not found" You can still pick yes to delete or no to cancel but it is a little annoying. Does anyone else have this issue?

I know you can build your own ships, but how do you build NEW preconstructed ships. Right now I can only build a frigate, constructor, scout, defender, and transport. Those are my only options and I am going to win this scenario soon. Thanks!!!

I am new to this game and I just won an Influence victory. I can't for the life of me figure out how to build new ships. I know I can create my own, but how do you build more advanced war ships and stuff (without creating my own). I currently am the war race. Help? I can only build a constructor, frigate, defender, scout, and transport and I have researched so much stuff.
