I think the privateer idea is pretty good.

If the French version ever gets finished make sure you have a French flag for the race symbol. It can be the usual white flag, or you can just a have a picture of a bunch of frogs heading for the hills. Awesome!

What if the limit was tied to some sort of communication tech?

I trade for Aphrodisiac from the Dregs. Not a bad trade, except they lost it and I didin't get it. Is t his a bug?

What if you have one already and take a planet with one? Do you get the benefit? Or can you destroy it to get the tile back?

First, thanks to all of you for responses. Just to clarify, no matter how fast you are, in a combat situation it is irrelevant?

I have been playing for 4 months like the game is crack and I have not been able to identify a noticable advantage for speed in a combat situation.

In reality, static artillery and munitions has always been more effective than non stationary weapon platforms.

I find that once I get to the point of where I am the dominant player, it is pointless to continue as the AI can never recover. Anyone out there seen the AI recover to the point where playing the game is worthwhile?
