I keep hearing two distinctly different lines on the "which ship" gets attacked frist scenario. Is it the most powerful ship the AI goese after(thats what I have seen) or the weakest? Whats up?

Hey gang, I just started playing the campaingn version and I seem to lose some of my tech advances and some availability depending on which scenario I go to. Is this a bug or is there a logical explanation for it. I am new to this, but love the hell out of it. Thanks for the great game!

Which is more important? I am trying to decide which way to go. I remember the old adage "speed is armor." But has anyone have any opinions on this. I am a newby so please help. Thanks, JBB
