French translation for GalCiv2

I'm not sure where I should post this, so I went for "game talk".

Lots of friends have shown great interest in the game when I ran a quick "demo" in front of them but they told me they wouldn't play it as they're not fluent enough in English.

As I'm not aware of any "official translation" (maybe one is available now? There wasn't any when I bought the game two months ago), I decided to create my own French translation for GalCiv2.

It is almost complete (an, IMHO, rathen good) and although I think I will have to fix a few things when 1.2 comes out, I would like to know if people would be interested in downloading it.

I'm also wondering if an "official" translation is going to be released someday. Not only this would mean I spent hours working on something other guys were already doing, but I'm afraid I would be violating copyright/commercial agreements with the game's distributor (I think Paradox Interactive distributes it in France) – maybe they don't want any "unofficial" translation.

LOL i do it a long time ago ...
It works for 1.1, 1.11 and 1.2 beta 2

Il y a longtemps que la traduction est terminée
Elle fonctionne pour les versions 1.1, 1.11 et 1.2 beta2.
En fait elle est terminée (et disponible) depuis fin mai ...
Et comme il est dit dans le manuel ce n'est qu'un mod...

If the French version ever gets finished make sure you have a French flag for the race symbol. It can be the usual white flag, or you can just a have a picture of a bunch of frogs heading for the hills. Awesome!

I believe that there will be a French edition of GalCiv II, but you'd need to ask Paradox to be sure.

Ouais mais là le jeu, acheté hier en France et il est en anglais

Par contre, les sous-titres des images de l'emballage sont en français,

ça sent l'arnaque ...
