1. Warcraft 2 2. Company of Heroes 3. Warlords Battlecry 2 (3 is practically the same) 4. Starcraft 5. Dwan of War No idea what you guys see in any of the command on conquer series or Age of Empires. Age of Empires 2 was decent, but man #3 was a total flop in my book.
Tototot
I loved company of heroes, don't know how active the community is though. One of the best rts games I have ever played (I've only played the base game). It is not for you if you like to turtle, it is purely offensive. I have no idea why you guys like C&C so much. I find them so lacking for some reason.
1. Black and White 2. Black and White 1 was so great, I have never fell in love with a game that had yet to reach its potential. What did they do to the second version? Completely ruin anything going for it. So much potential in the first verstion though. 2. Spore- they hype up games like this? guess it is the only way to make money on the piece of #$@!. 3. Simcity franchise after Sim c
Game mechanics. Fast, fun, exciting, and the urge to keep playing. Randomization is also a HUGE key in any game to make a game fun. I do not want to play the same exact game every single time. Games that did this for me Diablo 2 Civ 4 Gal Civ 2 Nethack
I think it is fine. We all have opinions though ;)
They have up to Warlords IV I believe and coming out with a fith. I thought they were alright. Game kinda got progressively worse in my thoughts. Maybe the style just got old for me.
I'm very skeptical of rankings for universisties now. I'm going for a masters in statistics. For a project for multivariate analysis, a friend of mine decided to do discriminant anaylsis on what a journal article claimed to be the "top 50" and the rest "below 50". What she found out through discriminant anaylsis, they practically based the whole ranking on the ACT scores of the students. They never even mentioned it in the article. Go figur
"(incidentally, this Q and A was a joke) " I love it hahaha.
Check this article out. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/09/17/AR2008091700942.html Interesting stuff.
There are activations for XP? I've reinstalled mine at least 8 times without problems. Maybe its because I have to student version. Who knows.
This sounds fun! I want to get playing again, but I want to wait for all the cool new stuff.
Feature Requested Since Dreadlords 1.0...stay tuned!
Don't let the carrier people see this! Anyway, I can't wait to see what the new stuff is. I'm really excited about a new spy system. Thanks for the time and effort.
So whos the antichrist? lol Long live scientific progress!

I say go 3d, or use hexagons. Would eliminate the diagonal distance advantages. Alot harder to do then simple squares though :)
1. A good starting position (bonus tiles in morale and production, nearby planets ect.)
This isn't improving in my book, its more like getting started with an advantage.
*Shrugs* I've download the installer from about 6 different sites.... fails every time, either due the CRC error or the installer just doesn't start.I'll forward this to EA... but i have a feeling their answer is: "you'r computer's broken" after waiting two weeks.
HOLD UP THERE ozo. They have to lose your e-mail address first. ha! X-(
I think the thalan are still a great race. The industry and research buildings you first research as absolutely insane.
I'd rather have them making improvements toward the game. It would take a long time to do something like Civilopedia in Gal Civ2. Too many technologies. I'd bet they would do something like this in Gal Civ 3 while they are creating the game. Or maybe not. This isn't even an important feature for me. The techs tell which leads to another and exactly what comes with it when you click on it now anyways.
I'm pretty sure Xcom is abandonware. You can go to abandonia.com to get all these versions. My suggestion is to use the dosbox version, as I've always had problems running the windows versions with XP. I'd imagine in Vista dosbox would be the only way to go.
Gamespot says it Diablo 3 releases 12/31/08. Don't know how much credit that can stand on, but we will see.
Another reason that Blizzard games are stupid is that they refuse to try anything new.
If it isn't broken, don't fix it.
Actually I still play diablo 2 and would love a sequel to it. This is however old news they announce Diablo 3 ages ago.
Fine then, they finally revealed it ;)
When a game's mechanics work so well, there is only so much you can improve upon. They have such a large following of the three staple games they may as well keep it up. If someone made X-com UFO:Defense with better graphics and worked with XP without any problems, hell, even improved the game a bit, I'd buy it for $50.
http://www.blizzard.com/diablo3/ Finally! Yes!
The rest of the world should, perhaps, gang up on the US.
The fact of the matter is, many countries, whether they publicly criticize or praise (rare now in days) the U.S., they appreciate how the U.S. can bully other countries. Many of us disagree with what U.S. administrations do with their power, but would you rather have Iran be the Super Power bullying the world?
