When they say more ship components - do they mean cosmetic or are there more functional components as well. I must say i think one of the worst parts of the game is the lack of more functional components for the ships. Its nice to be able to make nice looking ships but it has no effect on the game at all. And im sorry to say its a bit stupid as this is only a single player game and noboddy see's the ships you build anyway (unless you post them in the forums). All i say is i

I hope there will be alot more ship components. More special weapons and armor. Right now weapon, engine and shield configuration is way too simple. How about adding weapons with ammo, and engines with fuel. And how about special equipment like drones, psychic weapons, jump drives and fightersbays. Thx. Incredible work for such short time... But I think one of the very important bugs to remove, is the fact that population growth doesn't double when approval rating is at 100%. This ruins quite a lot :

It'd be interesting to have a transport only "carrier" ship that'd have extended range and speed to carry cheaper, smaller, low range ships out to battle. But I don't think you need to have any automated combat functionality - just have them exist as a transport type of thing only. This way you could get smaller ships designed more for combat than travel to far away battle

It says in the manual that when the approval rating is 100% population growth will double. (IE from 0,2/Turn to 0,4/Turn). It doesnt seem to do this when i play.
