Yes but only once in like two dozen games. I think the devs are fixing this with a modifier for whether or not an event has happened before. Meaning if it has happened recently it is very unlikely to happen again for sometime. It may already be fixed. I havent played the game since I last updated it.

I really like this idea too. I just wanted to throw my vote out for the devs and bump this baby again. I know Frogboy said that this will change some with the patch coming out but I really like the idea that I can focus all of my money on research and realize the buildings potential. I know that theoretically I can never realize full potential, diminishing returns and what not, but if I am going to spend time researching and building these awesome b

The problem is the Anit Aliasing setting. I had this exact same problem on my HP laptop witha 448 go video card. If you set anti aliasing to zero it will be perfecto garcia. You can do this from the preferences file where you can edit resolution. I was also able to edit it from the game screen even with the messed up interface. You dont have to worry about drivers, resolution or any other garbage. Just set anti aliasing to zero. </font

Um, Wicked Flea sir, I am pretty sure the dev team said that building the various capitals on the bonus tiles was a waste. The 100% bonus from the manufacturing capitol doesnt stack with 300% manufacturing bonus on the tile. You need to build some kind of factory on the tile and the capitol somewhere else on the planet. If you have definitive evidence that I am wrong then great, but I am pretty sure that I heard Frogboy, GreenReaper, and CariElf say that building the capitol on the

You know what I constantly love about this place. People use TV shows and movies to describe what would be realistic. NEWS FLASH This is fantasy. None of this is remotely real. It is whatever we imagine it to be. I could understand if someone said I had this dream about this and I think it would be really fun so can we do it. But, I saw it one TV and it is realistic that this would happen because I saw it on TB, so it should be in the game becuase it is real. Come on. They stole starbas

I have asked before and havent got much of an answer. This question would be easier to answer if I knew what practical use creativity and luck have. I have played at least a dozen games now and havent seen any situation where I would have been benefited by creativity or luck. I have one custom race with both stats for testing and I cant seem to see any benefit to either of them. I would use my 1 point for the lowest morale bonus.

No it doesnt. From what I have seen it appears that map size and some random variable affect how many galactic resources you will get and what kinds.

Yes they are cumulative. Nearly every bonus in the game is cumulative. If you build nine economy bases next to a planet you can get an assload of bonuses. Of course nine starbases being updated in addition to your other starbases can get expensive. I typically build 2 starbases that can reach a couple of my most important planets so I can get double bonus on those important planets. This is of course assuming that my situation allows me to afford that. It is a large up front investment for

I only build Starports on worlds were I will be building ships. Generally only Class 9 and above. It is working out well so far but I am just now playing on normal. I think it is a waste to use up a planet tile for a starport when the planet only has 5 tiles. It wont be able to crank out my ships fast enough so I would rather use that tile for research or economy. Sometimes a trade good or super project.

Also remember that the red skull means you are 4x the influence. But that just means that the planet starts to roll against the flip. As long as it is successful it wont flip. The greater your influence the harder the roll. It is in a sense partially random. There are no guarantees. I have had planets flip with ease and some take forever like your mars. Also I would like to point out that a +65 cultural base isnt s--t. You can get them over 150 easily.

1) It doesnt say it anywhere. They are most likely refering to tiny and small hull sizes. I prefer to think of tiny as a heavy fighter and small as a corvette. You can imagine whatever you wish. The AI names theres small and heavy fighter when refering to the above two hull sizes. I name mine whatever I am feeling like. 2)Economy bases can affect trade routes and planets that fall within an 8 parsec radius of them. How much, if at all, depends on what techs you have researched a

The pop growth rate is ridiculous. It makes the growth rate boosting race bonus and the political party (pacificst?) pointless. I put 100 million people on a colony ship and send them somewhere. A week after they land there are 300 million of them. A week later 500 million, then 700 million, and so on. In 5 weeks I have more than a billion people from 100 million. One month to create more than 900 million new people. It needs to be a percentage. This would simulate the exponential growth

I hate to say this but most of the main tech in an F-16 was designed in the seventies. And a factory from teh 40's could build all the parts but the electronics. That being said I like the system like it is. If I can just buy a bunch of factories in a few turns then I can effectively rush the enemy. I would also like to point out that there is no original population left when you attack the planet. Those that dont join you from information warfare die. That is why you fight the w

How long did that take you to design. I too wish to know what race design you used to do that. I have found that the Altarians have a large/huge, not sure, design that could be made to look like a B5 Earth Destroyer. I started to work on it but quite because my laptop is too slow.

I see lots of farms when I play. I invaded two planets last night where the AI had farms. When I set the mini map to show pop I see 15 planets in a large galaxy that have more than 15 billion pop. I totally agree with Dracil. I never build farms unless I have a farm bonus square and some good morale improvements to build. Invasion is too easy with less than 90% approval because I can buy them off and do.

1) TriStrontium Armor and TriStrontium Armor II have the same cost, size, and defense. I would think that if I went to the trouble to research TriStrontium Armor II I would get some benefit for it like with the rest of the techs. 2)I saved the game with 3 class 17 planets. When I loaded my save game I had 3 class 15 planets instead. All three still had 17 squares to build on though. The just showed the wrong number in the colony screen, which I use to build and sort my planets. E

Somebody put up a link for 3d Analyzer. It works great and now I have textured goodness. The only catch is, I cant figure out how to get the game to run with the windowed parameter. I created a shortuct and added the windowed parameter easily. 3d Analyzer doesnt allow me to add a paramter as far as I can tell. So does anyone know how to do this? Allow me to execute GC2 with 3d Analyzer and a windowed parametr?

PQ has nothing to do with PopCap. You can look at the planet screen and see how much food you are producing. To the right of that is a box showing planet population. Building run at the efficiency you set them at in your government window. It doesnt matter how many people you have. I have had a planet down to 5 million, yes million, people and still run the buildings at whatever efficiency I determinced from my tax and distro screen (f4). The only way to increase the pop cap is to build a

Ditto for Zoomba. Moo2 had terrible AI and they never used leaders. Stardock would never alter the game so that one side had an advantage over the others. This means recoding the AI to take advantage of leaders intelligently.

I know scoring takes these things into account for sure. Other than that I dont know. Galazy size : Number of opponents : Difficulty Level : Different points for the type of victory you achieve (I think you get most for tech victory and least for military victory) : The number of turns it took you to win :
