The only problem i have with this is that I often build defender type ships at my shipyard planets and then fly 'em to lesser developed worlds.. I can learn to adapt tho =) I do like the idea of an orbital ship or defence stations, or even some planetary based weapons in mid or late game

I've had the same problem, another thread said zooming the view all the way in was a fix, but i havnt had a chance to confirm it yet =)
Would be nice to have it in the tech tree, maybe as defences for planets and starbases... Not sure about having it for ships/fleets tho

Question for anyone who bought GalCiv2 Digitally: What exactly do you download? A CD image that you burn? Or just the executable to install the game? Just would like to know if I can burn my download and store it with my GalCiv2 CDs as a back up. The stardock download manager downloads and installs all the game files, you can then back i
Sounds awesome - Count me in Lord Herman you can preorder for download+cd as well as just download
Using Link driver cleaner pro when changing between drivers and cards is a good idea too

I've only recently started using rally points, they are great for making fleets when you cant remember which planets are building what
Would love to be able to stamp the name/class of the ship on the hull somewhere, and maybe the race's insignia. Attach these to the hardpoints in the editor maybe? Resizing them possibly too? Could make a 'Death to Drengin's' bumper sticker and slap it on the back
Nebula's and ion storms etc definately
When things go too far south I usually start over Cant answer your score question
Mine did that on the program update, but it then went through updating the tutorials, movies, and multimedia, I then retried the program update and it worked fine...
Curious myself, have to wait for one of the devs to answer
Get some rounded Ide cables also if you have the flat ones in there, improves the airflow quite a bit...
First off its not my computer its my friends and his comp is well above all the specs, it wuns WoW just fine. Its not his machine, its not out of date drivers, its not conflicting drivers, not out of date Galactic Civ 2. Its called crappy programing by stardock and for any of you to say that you havent crashed once since the new patch is an out and out lie, not with me and
I had a game where the Drengin found a precursor artifact that would make them increasingly powerful as time goes on, I think it was suggested in the event that they should be destroyed before they become too powerful... So I did I'd love to see more events added in the next patch/expansion!
Must be your pc mate, the only bugs I've seen in the game are the Thalans
I would definately be keen on the ship pack, and would prefer a larger pack over a smaller cheaper pack... *long cough*Some more extras for the hulls would be nice too*cough splutter splutter*
AFAIK there's only the built in opinions of the AI towards eachother, the drengins v the terrans etc... It would be nice to be able to have a 3v3 setup or something tho
I also found upgrading the government types helpful, you get more income but you have to keep your approval rate up otherwise you could lose control of the senate and lose your race bonuses... In my race picks I usually pick research and economy bonuses, just to give an edge I'm still only playing on normal myself, after I finish off the d
I usually try and see if there are any PQ8-10+ planets nearby, colonise the lower quality planets later on to keep the others out of my little corner... You can use CTRL-N to reset the starting positions to put yourself in a corner or just to restart if there are no good planets nearby, or if you are put in a corner with 2 empty star systems and nothing else <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="ab
There's a 'relations' secection,in the opponents selection screen ,where you can set their starting opinion towards you ranging from at war to allied... The UP meetings are fixed I believe
I had this trouble too, build them only on good planets PQ10+, this will give you the benefit of more income from more people paying taxes, don't bother building them on small planets. I was pretty much losing alot of games till I read the unofficial strategy guide, which you can get here Link
