Wasn't there one the other day about testing some of the new AI features? It involved the "Dominion" I think, and a planet of Haven.

Have you upgraded to the latest patch? It appears people have been having issues with the localised versions (e.g. German) and the English patches from Stardock. If you have patched it then you should be able to play by un-patching (e.g. re-install the retail version), it just means you won't get any of the new fixes or changes.

Maybe you can force the influence to be re-calculated (in a similar way to adding new modules) by carrying out a save+reload cycle? I know other people have been saying that it seems to take a few turns sometimes for the influence to sort itself out after a reload.

I believe you delete the CustomRace.xml files in your GalCiv2 preferences directory (somewhere in My documents I think but at work at the moment so can't check!) to reset the race abilities. There is also a reset button hidden away on one of the screens as well.

Why do you think it is a bug or stupidity? Is there anything else that the AI could have done with the transports apart from move them, i.e. attack/invade elsewhere? There's not really much point in moving your ships unless there's a valid reason to do so, e.g. under threat or an opportunity elsewhere. Might as well leave them be otherwise, I know I'd probably do the same.

Seeing as you're still running the old version, there's not really a lot we can do to help. I think there were some savegame issues fixed in one of the patches so you could search the old posts to see if anyone came up with work-arounds for the old version. I believe that Stardock only provides English versions of the patch as it was Paradox (publisher in Europe) that did the translations for the European versions.

I believe it's supposed to work as a global bonus rather than one in the starbase's area of effect - otherwise you could have a resource stuck out nowhere near a planet and so there'd be no point in mining it.

Well, those drivers are from 2004 and so probably are too old. I don't have the graphics card you mention but there have been some posts on the forum about downloading some new drivers for ATI cards - they're not provided by ATI or your manufacturer but have been created by someone else. These drivers seem to solve some people's problems so have a quick search for the posts to see if you can find a link. Hope this helps.

Are you sure 3 is not related to the fact that ship selection is maintained when you click on another ship, i.e. click ship 1 then click ship 2 and you'll have both selected? This might be causing multiple ships to go to the same location. I do vaguely remember some posts on problems with save games cropping up but I think it was something that only a few people seemed to encounter so difficult to track down - see if you can find some of the

Might be issues with making sure that people recording & replaying had the same mods, custom ships, etc. installed.

Not really sure, have you tried emailing your debug.err and savegame file to Stardock support? It sounds like a null pointer so the devs would be the best bet to solve it!

As I understand it, the actual freighter disappears as soon as a trade route is constructed - you get some little placeholder freighters zipping back and forth on the trade route from then on that can be targeted for destruction! If you have a freighter available then it has not been used to create a trade route.
