toggle thru ships

I seem to have alot of difficulty togglingly through my ships each turn. When I create fleets it shows both the fleet and the individual ship. I tried clicking detail on the fleet and setting guard or auto attack but next turn it's gone. Really a pain to find the solo ships so I can group and make fleets. Haven't tried rally point yet, does that work well? Still wouldn't answer why my settings of guard or auto attack don't stick. How does everyone toggle through their ships each turn?

Also (feeling like a noob pain now) can you reset the defaults of race abilities after you've tinkered with them?

I believe you delete the CustomRace.xml files in your GalCiv2 preferences directory (somewhere in My documents I think but at work at the moment so can't check!) to reset the race abilities. There is also a reset button hidden away on one of the screens as well.

The reset doesnt actually reset them to thier defaults - it would more aptly be named 'clear' then 'reset'.

Deleting the custom race file in your My Documents\My Games\Gal Civ 2\ folder (name not exact, as I'm at work too) is the best way to go about resetting it. The file nameis something like CurrentCustomRace000.xml
