For anyone looking to broaden their musical horizons, go check out The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of Niggy Tardust. It'll pretty much change your view of industrial, rap and hip-hop all at once. It's a freakin' great album.
Anyone who doesn't like rap either hasn't listened to the right artists, or is just jumping on the "pomg rap is only about bitches and bullets," bandwagon.
I hate to agree, because part of me is conditioned to hate rap and hip-hop, but there's so good stuff out there. Some really good stuff out there.
Antonin Dvorak's symphony #7 movement IV: Allegro con Fuego
No need to dive into a flame shelter over that. My all-time favorite piece of music? Water Night by Eric Whitacre. Now THAT is music.
Sigur Rós Holy sh*t so they don't just exist in my imagination?! You're the first person who's ever acknowledged their existence.
They do exist outside of your brain (and have like 24 MILLION listens on last.fm - crazy, huh!). I finally got my hands on the rest of their discography I was missing just yesterday. They pretty much blow my mind, even though I have no idea what they're singing about. It's perfectly majestic post-rock for chilling to.

I like my music progressive, cutting edge, avant-garde. I get so tired of the crap they play on the radio that I don't even use radios anymore - silence is better than most of that garbage. Bands of note: Neurosis, Isis, uneXpect, Rush, Explosions in the Sky, Red Sparowes, Mogwai, Sigur Rós, Opeth, Porcupine Tree, Pelican, Mastodon, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Nine Inch Nails (yeah, a bit mainstream, but still - they freakin' ROCK), 27, Between the Buried and Me, and lots more.
I think the collectors edition extra content has been rolled into the patches now, so there's no need to download the extra.
Yep, it's been included since the DL/DA bundle pack came out. As far as the install, I'd probably stick with Stardock Central for now, rather than Impulse. While I love me my Impulse, it's still technically a beta program, whereas Stardock Central is tried and true.

I was playing the other day as a custom race, trying to play neutral (even though that so often results as a difficulty for me) and on turn 18 the stupid Drath demanded that I pay them a large for that point in the game sum. So what did they do? Next turn, they declared war. So obviously it does happen, it just hasn't happened to you.

Best thing to do would be to write them with both e-mail addresses as well as the receipt or transaction code from the PayPal e-mail. They'll get you taken care of. I had the same thing happen to me when I was getting some Total Gaming tokens a few weeks ago. They're very helpful - just give them a day or two to get it sorted out. I'm sure with the launch of the new expansion pack they're swamped. :D
It was a good show but it seemed kind of stupid when they use weapons that seems like it belongs to the wild western era.
It was the juxtaposition, that amalgamation of things that didn't seem to match that made the show what it was - Inventive, magical, and ultimately doomed to cancellation. Oh well. At least we got the movie.

As one who uses a lot more Stardock products than just GalCivII, SDC or Impulse are almost essentials. If you think that they update their games often on first release, you should see how often there are updates to programs like WindowBlinds or IconPackager. Usually every two weeks ever since my first install. For programs like that, I find the Impulse or SDC system to be MUCH easier than downloading and running update installers every week or two. Plus, I find the chat featu

There's been talk of a second movie, but Joss has said he doesn't want to think about it right now. He was just happy to get to make the first one. Now he's busy doing other things.

For the record - since Cedarbird wasted my 'changing name' joke, it's all spelled the same this time. And now . . . MORE POOP! ;) -- 1 Jan 2226. Another six months had passed according to the reckoning of those ugly, gray 'human' creatures, and His Great Smelliness Pooperton was terrified of what was coming up as his shuttle approached the waiting diplomatic station. After meeting the humans, further exploration led to the discovery of two other major races

I'm enjoying the speed. The only reason I didn't beta test Twilight is because my connection is kind of finnicky and I didn't want to spend all that time for a slow download to have it konk out on me. However, if you're going to be using this in the future, I'll be beta testing Political Machine 2008 for you. :CONGRAT:
Yes, if you notice there are threads that are common all across the forums and people can read them from any forum.
But the funny thing is I can be looking at it at JoeUser and I have all my Karma, but if I'm looking at the same article at WinCustomize, nothing. I know there's a good reason behind it, but I think it's hilarious.

Swicord, I demand that you have the guts to test that theory out. All I know is that if the opportunity presents itself to test it, I swear to do so and let you know the results! ;P
It's fascinating that it doesn't actually track across all Stardock forums. So if you get +1 here, only the GalCiv2 denizens see it.
I know. I have mad über-Karma at JoeUser but nothing over here. :P For those who want more info, read this post from the man Zoomba himself.
Awesome thanks guys You've all been very helpful and patient with me! Nothing like the support of a great community for a great game
Once you get the game and get the hang of it (or beforehand if you have questions or concerns), we'll be expecting plenty of participation on these forums from you! ;) Welcome to the community. :CONGRAT:
Since when do anomolies continue to spawn throu the game
Since DA. So like at least a year.
is it possible to turn this off?
Only if you turn of anomalies altogether. I have a counter-question, though. Why, if you like them on at the beginning, do you want them to not keep spawning? I myself rather enjoy it.

Oh. My. Gosh. That's Pooperton, for sure. Guess I'm sticking that into my custom race file for the next game . . .
