more candidate peices
Maybe I just need to unlock it by playing the campaign (damn unlockable features! ;)), but I would love a nice robe for a body type for a gentleman. My Bobblehead Jeebus candidate is almost perfect . . . just needs Jeebus robes. :CONGRAT:
Why isn't it listed in "my games' in Impulse?
Something about that hack used to display TotA in SDC is causing it to have issues with Impulse . . . I know they're ironing it out as we speak.
Also please explain why you can't buy on Impulse with tokens
Because tokens are being phased out - the other developers/software companies didn't like the token system. You can still use them for Stardock titles and ones already on Total Gaming, but n
Please put 1.95 on SDC.
1.95 isn't out yet at all.
After a rocky start (it wouldn't recognize my serial) I'm downloading now. I'll report back about how poorly I've done after I lose horribly. ;)
The level design in Painkiller is amazing.
Hell yes it is. Shooting up churches, army bases, and orphanages in Purgatory, filled with the minions of Satan. The more I play that game, the more I absolutely love it. It's ridiculously fun.
why not talking to VALVe and work together instead of split Community?
That's just it, though - Impulse's functionality will blow everything STEAM does out of the water. The minimizing to dock alone will make it one of the programs I use most often. Plus, the integration of an already flourishing community (through Stardock's sister sites) is just going to make it that much better. Maybe I'm just hopeful, but I can see the implications of what Impulse [
why the dont add a multiplayer-part like this?
Because most gamers are not multiplayers. They are, in fact, single players. And because Brad doesn't want it to be multiplayer. If you want a multiplayer Stardock game, get PM2008. I'll play you. Heck, I'll even lose, probably, and you can get a 'speshul ego-boost'.
Impulse doesn't use the user selected installation path...
It looks like it can in the newest version I've got. It's up in the 'Preferences' tab.
id say its amzing, but i dont know what it is, i dont even know hwhy im posting this message?
Why don't you click on the 'Preview' link and find out exactly what it is? All I know is that I already preferred Impulse over SDC. When the new functionalities are included (minimizing to dock, program organization, etc.) I'm sure I'll use it even more often. :CONGRAT:
I can't walk you through Impulse, I don't have it yet. Hopefully this is enough.
It's very similar. Near the top right-hand corner there's a button to fill in your registrations. Paste in your info. Then it should update your registration and let you know (by glowing, I think, maybe it blinks) on the 'Updates' tab up top. Click on it, highlight the program, click 'Update' in the lower right corner, and enjoy.
Stardock is just cheap.
Guys, guys, guys. They've explained to us a million times why they do things this way. Would you prefer less effort and money put into the game just so you can have a pointless box? Because that's what it takes. You want a box, you get less of a game. Personally, screw the box, screw the CD, etc. Digital download works like a peach.
I've found it much more effective (and hopefully less annoying) to PM a moderator with spamming ones, such as kryo here. (Usually if it's during the week I just hop on Stardock's IRC channel and say, 'Hey Zoomba, got a present for ya!')
There isn't anymore that I can say of course but I think anyone that is a fan of our work will enjoy the new products very much.
Unless all they do is bitch and moan about the 'research non-bug' until I want to cave in their craniums . . . Personally, all I have to say is keep up the good work. PS I love the new avatar, Seabass. :CONGRAT:
WTF show a &%*#$ RETAIL BOX
It's a mockup of a retail box that someone threw together for aesthetic purposes. I don't understand gamers' obsessions with the damn boxes anyway. It's a hunk of cardboard that's 90% empty and looks cheesy when stacked on a shelf. If I walk into someone's home and see a shelf full of game boxes, my first thought is, Oh, he's one of those gamers . . . Tack-tacular.
I'd rather an issue like TA getting dumped for 7 weeks immediately after release so Stardock can meet other deadlines not happen again, but I also recognize that sometimes, things happen.
And besides - those of us who are looking forward to Political Machine '08 want our game already. You all were the ones who wanted them to keep adding features into TotA or it would have been out last November, remember? We wanted more. They gave us more. No need to bi
So I'm only getting a cd in a sleeve for Arnor?
It's been stated ad nauseum on this site that no, there is (and most likely never will be) a box for Twilight, just like there never was (and really never will be) a box for Dark Avatar.
if I order the cd, is there a manual? will this be in stores?
No and no. There is no printed manual and it will not be in stores.
Are the pre orders still being shipped?
Kryo said they're getting out there, and lots of the US people already have them - international shipping takes a bit longer, give it another week or two.
Short version: Nope. Long version: The mega events are either all or none. And that's just how it should be. You shouldn't get to pick which of the mega events you want - they're supposed to be huge variables, and if you take out the variable (by editing which ones you can get and which ones you don't) it defeats the purpose. If all else fails, play the cheaters way and as soon as it happens, open up the last save game from before it - they'll disappear and (
Meh, the Dread Lords isn't even a Mega Event. They're a normal random event. It's when the what's-their-name Federation takes over and has impressively strong ships galaxy-wide that you really feel kicked in the jimmies. ;)
See!! Now I want a jail break. lol
I've had plenty of jailbreaks, but I've never gotten to see THOSE! I'm feeling cheated. ;)
Since there were boxed versions of the Gold Edition (I recalled seeing it at the local store), will there be a boxed Ultimate Edition in the future?
According to Kryo, no.
Don't feel too bad. Took me a few weeks to figure out, too. ;)
You dont want Chris Hansen showing up at your door.

Funny thing is that nearly a decade later there haven't really been any other games that have had that level of depth with character and story development.
I know! It's kind of ridiculous. I mean, I loves me a game of 'run around and shoot everything that moves' as much as anyone else, but the storyline of Deus Ex is what kept me playing even though it was such a FREAKING LONG GAME. I mean, I'm not kidding - easily 50 hours of gameplay if you want to truly plumb the de
if i digital download the $59.99 (£31 rough), when i download it is it possible to be burnt onto discs so i can have a Hard copy of the game+expacks? I would prefer to have it safely on a disc instead of losing the access code to re-download it.
Yep. Since you're new to Stardock, you'll want to use Stardock Central to do the digital download. It's kind of an all-in-one launcher/updater for all your Stardock games. The beautiful thing you can do is download the game
