can't do except
that a fart
after a couple DA games i'm still using the +20% PQ, +50% luck, and then swapping the rest amongst morale, econ, pop growth, and sensors depending on my mood. i should really give up on sensors though... i always go for the eyes wonder early. hmmm... gonna have to try a first strike race with +50% luck and maxed out weapons bwuah ah ahahahha ha ha hah ah a
Ah, yes, a game of conquering the galaxy where you have to worry about the dating lives of all ten trillion of your citizens. Maybe by the time there are ten trillion humans your descendants might be able to finish a game. That sounds like fun....Not! mumblefratz just got an erection
It would be cool to be able to look at a map with things drawn to scale correctly. But i wouldn't want to play the game that way. Maybe GC3 could have a look-but-don't-touch layer? I should finally have an adequate graphics card soon and I have little doubt I'll spend some time just touring the eye candy once my machine can generate it. I'd do the same from time to time with a "just for looks" view.
excellent.
qq = quick question, in this case awhile back it was revealed that the ai received a turn at the start of every load game. i've looked but haven't been able to find anything about this recently. is this still the case? i'm running into audio bugs and have to quicksave > quit > reload to fix it. i mean i can turn all the audio off and chip away at the weeks of mp3s i've got here but i love love love the music in this game.
ps - no bonus tiles to speak of yet, but i did grab an econ resource in the middle of the human territory, and there's 15 and 10 pq heavy grav planets within easy reach... well difficulty is only on tough... i was pretty much destroying painful in DL 18 mos ago, but that was 18 mos ago... trying to ease back into DA heh heh heh. make that 8 months ago
i'm playing the altarians waaaaay up in the corner... well difficulty is only on tough... i was pretty much destroying painful in DL 18 mos ago, but that was 18 mos ago... trying to ease back into DA heh heh heh. super organizer ability, +30 econ, +20 morale, +20 pq, +25 luck, +25 research, and +1 sensors. universalist party: +10 growth, +25 luck. i'm gonna try and steamroll the humans, then pick a fight with the drengins and hope i can get the arceans to do my dirty
well shoot, it appears i can't edit that post
opening the audio tab makes all audio go staticky
you mean, um, god? the plural of bonus is bonuses. you look like a boner when you type boni, or bonii. other than that, looks like fun!
it was over a year ago, and on either challenging or tough, but a race i was at war with kept a fleet parked next to one of my fully mined out resouces with zero combat ability. it was either weapons or econ or morale because if they'd taken it out, it would have made the war much harder. later on (either on a higher difficulty or after a patch,) i was counting on a race doing the same thing. but, the bad guys ended up taking out like 7 of my stacked econ bases in two turns heh.
on behalf of drunk people everywhere, the validation codes have never held us back.
you are a shell of a human filled with Hate, Arrogance, and Issues. but if i was a shell of a human filled with Hate, Arrogance, and Issues, wouldn't that imply that i was, in fact, devoid of those qualities?
for utility ships: k04r12 97b - y = konstructor, speed 4, range 1.2, 97bc cost, yor parts c12r35 230b - tor = colony, speed 12, range 3.5; 230bc cost, torian parts e07r25 145b = sensor ship ( e ye of the universe) speed 7, range 2.5 txxxxx = troop transport; axxxxxx = advanced troop transport; fxxxx = freighter, etc. for military ships: generic designs get similar names like m07r20 0.0.5-0.3.0 240b in the size-speed-range-armament-cost scheme.
i just use the generated names 90% of the time. occasionally, inspiration will strike, and i'll name a couple like this: prod +37 pop +20 star +45 etc, etc, etc...
i frequently use troop transports to do this. i'll use 2-3 production planets to pump out the xports, launch them with 1 dude, then each planet has a rotation of 3-4 other planets which the xports pick the troops up from. from there they'll either ferry them to a border colony for a pop boost and return to pick up more, or they'll slink away to a shadow of the galaxy to await further orders.... in the meantime, the planets that feed the xports are usually at 100% a
well, my thoughts have run the gamut here from start to finish. i've done a complete 180 on it and i don't think it should be fixed in gc2. something does need to be added to the manual, and perhaps even a disclaimer on the loading screen is in order. it's kind of funny, because this bug definitely affects me pretty severely. i'm not one to reload after a couple bad turns, but i am one to only play a couple turns per night. hey, when you work 10-12 hours a day it's hard to
why? what did it say?
these types of ships work very well with the eyes of teh universe wonder
woohoo! using AutoHotKey i made a script that buys the selected improvement and advances to teh next planet screen when i press ctrl+spacebar. next up: launch a transport/colony ship with 1 passenger... how could i forget: WWW Link
i posted some of this in a different forum, that's why it might sound a little wierd: once your empire hits a certain point, with a mature economy and morale resources, you want to go through and have all your colonies which are at or near their population cap to build a farm. so you have to go through this procedure for each planet: select tile (random location, center of screen) queue farm construction (random loc, right side) select farm (random loc,
