Ok, thats strange. I tried to play my first metaverse game and it told me to create a character first. Firefox (1.5.02) started and all I got to see was a blank black page with your pages frame around and the "Buy GalCiv2" button on top. Then i tried to login manually, but choosing "Edit My Characters" didn`t help, the page was displayed with those empty character fields, but none of the red buttons you use to create/change/reset your character ap

I am a bit too late to vote, but nevertheless. I was playing GalCiv1 and impatiently watching the progress of GlaCiv2. Then it was launched and shame on me, I missed it until last week. Then I tried out the Demo and now all of my free time belongs to you
My idea to improve it would be to make it so that when you invade a planet and capture a tech - you can only capture a tech that is available for you to research - that way you would get a bonus but not a massive game changing one (which gives an incentive to get your planets captured, just so you can get an amazing tech) </T
It is a sad story, but the big paper magazines in Germany (e.g. www.gamestar.de) all rated GalCiv2 very low too. That beeing said, on the other hand Germany has a strong fan culture for complex strategy games and while the magazines tend to push the EA "blockbusters", the fans know all is not gold that glitters. I was happy to tryout the demo version and after that I ordered GalCiv2 last tuesday and cannot wait to start a game, espacial
After spending goes to advanced, any additional spending is wasted, so it would be nice to automatically reduce the spending to 0 at that point though. Please don`t do it SD, would be braindead. Question: what is the estimated time for the localized versions (specifically: the German one)? I second that, would be nice to know. Unfortunately the german translation for 1.0 is a show stopper to me. I know it is not your fault and having good experiences with Paradox makes me believe the
