Hi guys. I'm afraid I can't poke anything right now, but please try going to Tools menu/Options/Internet, and change the server from California to Chicago. This may work better. Edit: The Tutorials and Movies modules appear to be broken right now. I do not know why this is, but people who do will be on it within 12 hours. For those waiting to download, I apologise for the delay!

There may be problems with the California distribution. Please try switching servers in Tools/Settings/Internet if you have this problem. Another thing to try is flipping the View/Show pre-release versions before initial install, and then flipping it back to update, as that will avoid the .sdc file that you could not previously download.
Are you sure about that? I was under the impression that it did not. It probably will if you reinstall it over an existing build that has betas enabled.
Drengin.net was launched in 2001 , along with Stardock Central . We've been doing this sort of thing for a while now.
If you ordered the game two weeks ago, then you probably didn't get any of our first order from the manufacturers. We sent out a second order a while later, but I hear Canadian customs are fairly strict and may be holding up orders. As noted by Shakto, if you ordered from us you will probably have recieved a serial number which you can use to download the game immediately via Stardock Central. WalMart are cheaper than us (in this
Well, we could probably fit a copy of The Corporate Machine in there . . . I suspect Mitrosoft would be more than a match for the Dread Lords.
I'm afraid we probably won't be able to fit in any more CTDs for version 1.1, but I can practically guarantee that 1.2 and future expansions will increase customer satisfaction in this area. We will also try to work with ATI and NVIDIA to try and implement an "auto-BSOD" if the game detects an excess gameplay event. We are listening!
I would guess that's because you can't have a habitable blue star. Or there's a template. Or . . . *runs and hides behind the mysteriously-appearing asteroid*
I dropped a note to the editors, it's fixed now.
This information is on the GalCiv Wiki: Cheats
The debug.err file is automatically created in your GalCiv2 program folder every time you play the game. It is added to until the game closes, for better or for worse.
I think you need to get it well within. With some espionage you can see your influence ratio on the planet in the middle bottom screen when you click on it - it needs to be at least 4.0 and probably more. Note that you must not be at war with anyone to win an influence victory.
My guess is a combination of the following: * Stardock having to fill all the pre-orders that came in before yours * Delay due to having to setup postage for over the border * Delay at the border by customs Stardock's support can be contacted at Email . Be aware that they have rather a backlog as well right now. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Smile.gif" bord
Hmm. What publisher is that from? Where'd you get the game? Does this form help?
Brad shoots down that suggestion every time it comes up.
I think you mean Stardock, not Starforce.
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the cheats page on the GalCiv Wiki . . .
Please don't do that. Whatever their original intentions, they've apologised for their mistake. Let's leave it at that. As for the people who wish to try it out - GalCiv II progrmmaer CariElf is working hard on getting the demo out as soon as possible. Hopefully this will sufficient for those thinking of buying it to make a decision.
The first half of the strip made sense, and then - as usual - they fixated on their usual 'humour'. Usually involving talking about penises. Are these guys compulsive masturbators, or what? I think it's more that they know their audience. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Smile.gif" bord
If you have a lockup, then you are almost certainly experiencing a hardware or driver failure. Programs do not have the system access to cause that problem. There is honestly not a lot we can do in that kind of situation. The latest update tries not to overly stress the hardware with constant updates, but ultimately it's the system's responsibility to remain stable whatever the input.
I am sorry that you have not yet recieved your game, Telparion. Simply put, we have had far more demand for the product than we expected. We have been manufacturing more boxes, but it takes several days for them to get to us, for us to package them, address them and put the postage on, and to send them on to you. There are several sacks and boxes filled with packages right now, in the Stardock lobby, and I am sure we would be packaging more if we had m
Well, to be fair some of them only gave it 80+. According to Brad it will be out by the end of the month .
Tried windowed mode? (make a shortcut to galciv2.exe, then open up its properties and put a space and the letter w after the target and try to run it)
We are working on a demo now that the first patches are out. We wanted to make sure that any bugs that were causing problems for our customers were fixed first!
That box looks like the normal edition, but I think they are just selling the CE.
