On the other hand, all the people here have internet connections and have come to a forum dedicated to talking to other people about this game. I'd imagine this skews the results towards multiplayer. Yes, but people who don't have an internet connection will never be able to buy an Expansion Pack so they don't matter.

For future reference, most game companies will send you a replacement copy for $10 if you can prove that you own the origional. I'm not sure if Star Dock does though.
Fixing the minor race problems. Fix the research descriptions. Better AI for designing/naming ships (Not tactical stuff, I mean having them attatch things to make the ship look better like wings and stuff like the player can. Also have them name their ships things like "Yor crusher", or "Anti-Yor crusher" based on who they are at war with when the ship was designed.) Right clicking on a planet name on the trade window shows it's position. Hot Seat Mode. (It wi
Probably a remnant of some feature that was taken out before the game's release.
What version of the game are you playing?
Processor: Genuine Intel(R) CPU 2.80GHz, ~1.6GHz Does anyone else find that strange?
Good analogy, good tech demo. Although there seems to be some clipping issues if you drop from the top step on to the middle step, and you might want to speed up the walker some (or my browser is running slow, 20fps if that's what the white box means.) How advanced will the AI be? Will it be a mario-esque run left until you die or a zelda-esque chases the player or something else?
I thought it only needed a connection for patches and the metaverse. Either way, you'll want to go on line for the patches. You allready have an account I'll guess if you bought the game on Stardock.
Well, I'm not alone, that's a good sign. No one from Stardock has posted on here yet; That's even stranger than the bug.
Okay, I went to post a reply on this thread: Link but it posted it onto this thread: Link I retried to post and it went on the right thread (the post you see on the "One week=what" thread). I'm using the latest stable build of Firefox on Win98. I have about 15 tabs open which might be the problem but I haven't h
If 5 people are born per second, thats 300 per minute, 18,000 per hour, 432,000 per day, 3,024,000 per week. Not to nitpick or anything but i don't know where 2100 comes from. He ment 1 birth every 5 seconds, hope this post goes through.

but now it's just beating a long dead horse If it's well done and original, then the genre hardly matters. Exactly, kind of like Gal Civ 2. Maybe a WW2 game where you controll the black book weapons and vehicles to defeat the enemy while trying to convince the Gov. to give you more funding and keeping the Black Book devices ou
Oddly enough, the Epic generator sounds the most interesting followed by the custom AI. My plan: Make a really stupid race with 500% resource cheating. The asteriods mining could be interesting but they look a little too big in the screen shots.
Not bad , but the fact that its based in WW2 makes it sound very unorigional.
Let's try not to turn this into a multiplayer debate. On a completly unrelated topic, when I got my last job they wanted me to tell them my Social Security number before they would pay me. It's so unfair because my last job was at Wal-Mart and they didn't wan't my SS#. I'm tired of this company treating me like an illegal alien. I think I'll quit my new job even though the work is easier and they pay more because I don't want to tell them a 14 digit number. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/
In 1.3 the moon rotation was reversed.
I think somebody said not to ask about MP in one of the 1,3 beta release threads.
I could see this Roman game working fairly well because we could split it up very easily, each person could take a game part (Getting votes, doing law stuff, civil duties, and war). If you guys want to make your own game, you can get a license of the Torque game engine for $100 per seat, and it will run on Windows, Mac, and Linux. It comes with a world editor and
Looks good. The program is running with 0-choppyness on the site if you’re worried about that. You just need to put in NPc handling, the fighting, and collision detection and the in-game state should be finished. Easier said than done. Don't worry about a script this early in development, just know a very basic story (i.e. bad guy steals Christmas, player goes to save Christmas, Christmas is saved.) Nothing more should be needed this early in development. Is the program going t
The beta should work, just don't post any games on the Metaverse or they may be flagged as cheating.
I might help. Any ideas on genere/language (i.e. c++,java,basic)/ graphics (i.e. openGl, Direct X, SDL). More info before I can commit myself though. Maybe Stardock can release it on their "free stuff" section.

Nice. How sure are you of the pre-Christmas release date?
Do you try to load the same save every time or is it with all of your saves?
