Is this a firm "no"?

I agree 100%, the one that bothers me the most are Altarians. They always want to go on a "rightgeous crusade" on the weakest evil civ around. Or they like to gang up on me, with the other good civs.. arg. I just loved it when the Torian surrendered to the Drengin, at the last game. Now, instead of being neighbour of only me and the Torian, they were sorrounded by my and my closest ally
If they keep the same rate of improvement than they did from 1 to 2, I have NO objection on letting them 2 to 3.. then 3 to 4. But then, if they ever improve that far, the AI will takeover the (real) world to not loose anymore...
still, a PQ of 100 could make you rich past your best dreams. Think of the economical power you have with 20x(100+1)^3 million tax payers
Hey, cloaking device for planets and stars
2 things (one I mentionned in another post, but no one seemed to answer) 1: I want a Mapbrush, like Blizzard made for Starcraft. You can not only paint a map and choosing starting positions, but you could also customize the building already built, the # of technology already researched, the ships already on the map, etc.. And creating "mission objective" would be a must. Let's do more than "star with a colony ship + a planet + a survey vessel and conquer the galaxy". You could create
Consumed Crustacean (strange name) got a point there. But maybe, indeed, there should be some in-game limits according to your party. After all, how could a Technologist party reduce its research below 25%? Or a Pacifist party leader declare war? or a Mercantile party leader leave U.P.?
the game can recocknize fractionnal value. ex: I had a +20% boost on weapon/armor. When I managed to have 5 weapons on my starships, I got +1 of bonus. You will get the % of your attack or defense rating, always rounded down.
You forgot the great special effect that comes with the beam weapons
Have you tried developping a healthy economy in parralel with your research development? I try to have 1/3 of my planets being Commercial Centers (a.k.a. $ cow), which allows me to have a 100% spending. Which, in return, allows mucho research
Well, there was, actually, a place that definetly looked WEIRD. Smashed between the Drengin and the Arcaean borders, there was around 4-5 parsec in a line that I owned, but the borders.. oh my, it looked like a fallen rope! all twisted and chaotic.
In my income screen, I see 4 kind of income: - Taxe - Trade - Tourism - Tribute Now, I understand the 3 first ( have been explained. While I needed the hint-screen to help me understand tourism), where does "tribute" comes from? I haven't bullied any small friend neighbour - yet -.
and a manufacturing capital on a production bonus? what kind of bonus does it gives?
What I would *REALLY* love, is a scenario editor program. Not just painting a map, starting locations and some rules about the game. But drawing a map that would include the PQ of every planets, who already colonized them, what buildings are on them, the technological progression of any races you put in the scenario, the NAME/PICTURE of the minor/major races you put into the scenario. Already-built starbases and starships. Objectives, etc... A.k.a.: a map that you could bel
There is one way to make the "cargo-combat" ship efficient. Equip them with a lot of Psionic Beam. These are baby-killers. The downsize is, off course, the price . And you kinda risk a lot of BC on a 1hp-hull.. But with 1-shot kills, who cares?
1 Vote for! Actually, It would be nice to see people's creations, with both stats and screenshot, available to download
There should be another implimentation of a ship's experience points: initiative. Who gets the first shot I do like the idea that the attackers get a huge bonus on the initiative roll, but if a Huge ship who just got out of shipyard tries to attack a corvette lvl 15, the corvette should have at least a chance to attack first. Experience comes there too, no?
No, I never loaded the game for the duration of the cultural war.. And for the white border, it happened often for me. Instead of the regular blue/yellow (or red/blue, or anything) border clash, the two colors meld together and becomes white... Is it something special? (and yhea, maybe an influence event they had.. lol)
I just played a though influence war with the Arcaean. (BTW, what does mean the WHITE borders?), and even thou I built a LOT (4)of maxed influence starbase near their border, they just seemed un-assimilable. Their influence graph showed that they had a HUGE peak (almost vertical) But, suddenly, their influenced dropped about for half of its past value, and I got about 1/3 of their empire in my cultural sphere, and about half of them on the border or revolution... what happe
can a computer use one of your designs from a previous game?
I usually play in the 2 largest maps available, and so far, the AI never create any "fast" ship (which IS absolutly a must in these big maps). Nearly on, my frigates and figther can run a 9 pc/week, while the Computer build ships with a lousy 3 pc/week. It gives me a too big of an advantage to be fair, will this situation be resolved?
I just played a game, and I quickly got into war with both the Altarians and the Torians. When I begun to beat the pulp out of the greenish, they surrendered to... The DRENGINS! Wow, I mean, didn'T they had ennough of the 10 000 years of occupation? I would have though that the Torians would surrender to a lot of people, but never to the Drengin!
When you build an economical starbase to boost your production, does it also boost the $ needed? When you build on an manufacturing bonus tile, does the bonus also rise the $ needed?
There is one thing that frustrates me quite. I wonder why, when I have developped Research Academies (or any other advanced building) am I forced to build only those? If a minor colony I wanted it to focus on research, I don't have the factory capacity to build ONE Research Academy before 20 turns! While that, if I could simply build Basic research facility, all my tiles would have their, then I would progressivly upgrade the planet... The same for every other kind of building. When I
