Unevenpieces, your comments are very appropiate. Mines could be handled like ships that have a big single punch and then get destroyed. Multiple can be stacked in the same square and possibly be instructed to attach only defined classes of ships like transports or BBs. AI coding doesn't look that bad compared to other functions already developed, but I guess it will be a matter of how much Brad likes the idea.

Would you mind to add mines to the 2.0 version? It would add to the defence/surprise side and the AI should be able to handle it without major changes. With mines I mean: Minelayer module Minesweeper module Mine detector module Tech: Focused Sensors (enables minesweeper and mine detector module that can detect mines from 1-2 squares away) Also, you need to tweak the ranges because right now they are ineffective and there is no
This is the list of improvements for 1.96 vs 1.95 as published at http://sdc1.stardock.com/public/gc2/production/Twilight.htm v1.96 + NEW: Clicking on Race Logos on the Civ Manager>Timeline>Legend screen will toggle them on/off in the timeline + NEW: Added option to change the zoom speed + TWEAK: Legend screen only lists the races you know + TWEAK: Increased the max value the edge scroll speed could take in the options window + FIXED: [0
The way the AI calculates relative forces is quite dumb. If they have a lot of ships with an attack of 2 and I have few ships with an attack of 40 and a defence of 20, the AI would still belive that they outpower me even if I'm taking out their planets one by one. So, even if it's a deadAI walking, belives is a superpower. Generally speaking I do agree that the diplomatic screen is the one most needing improvements. I also think that Brad/Frogboy could code it using one hand while p
Forget the last Impulse question... It's just toooooooo slow (minutes, tens...). Guess .net was not a great choice. Then committ suicide with java. At least is cross platform.
Cari, I did as you wrote. On SDC I have 1.95.023 installed even is I really installed 1.92. I didn't install the update (and have auto update disabled) but starting the game says 1.95 so I guess is good this way even if run application does nothing. The Dark Avatar upgrade "noise" is still there where pretends to update backward from 103 to 100. On SDC I have 18 games but on impulse just 6 down from 11 or so a few days ago'.
Where did you get 1.95??? I have 1.92.
Confirmed behaviour.
Zubaz, have downloaded Impulse. It works and recognized my SDC account. I can see my purchases even if possibly not all titles I'm entitled but that I never downloaded. What I cannot find are my tokens and how to use them...
I was looking for it... Will it include all SD Central applications too from the start?
I hope that all those barking at Stardock perform in their duties with the same "no failure" standard as they require from Stardock. Please let Stardock work and start barking at the dog. One free suggestion: never buy a game from other companies or you'd be bound to kill them if you apply the same quality standard...
I've missed all this ...... for so long, but... : 1) Even assuming Stardock forgot us for 5 weeks, they still would rank n°1 :CONGRAT: 2) Please be moderate in your passions; Stardock people don't deserve it based on their history 3) I want to express my full support and understanding; I'm sorry some of us just keep asking and wanting like small babies 4) I've finished some games at large size and had minor problem; like Brad said, it's a design issue 5) Brad, please next t
Thanks Kryo. My interest was more to understand if Cari got the files right since I sent directly to her. One suggestion for spam: reply only to IDs registred here.
I'm puzzled. It's the first time I've submitted a bug and got no answer, no acknowledge. Very common for other companies but very unusual for Stardock.
Thanks linearninja.
Any update from Stardock? Did you receive the savegame ok? Will be fixed? Thanks, Gherardo
Sorry Kryo, I'm up to 1.91.021 and crashes perfectly ;-) I've sent my saved game to like suggested in the pinned post.
The game continues to crash. I gave up and didn't build the gravity accelerator. Not sure if the bug is widespread. Would be nice if you try it... :-)
I can confirm... (had to wait 20 turns...) As it is developed the game crashes. I've looked with the editor to the description and caachteristic but looks fine besides had a special ID.
I'm sending my saved game. To reproduce the crash just go to shugar IV and buy gravity accelerators.
Sheesh, you guys are so great. Not just because you are actually doing something different with your game, but your entire attitude. If something doesn't work, you just say it outright and aim to fix it. That's it. No cover-ups, no tricky marketing evasive maneuvers, nothing. That's got to be admired. I wish I could work in a company such as you, not just purchase your products. You really set an example.
Gormoth1, you were just good to say in plain english what I think b
I made a search on Google about Namus. They too have lost him... Namus wrote: "P.S.: Plz forgive any errors or goof-ups. Don’t shoot the writer!" Hope nobody took him too seriously!!!
Wish C): start trading and you'll not need it. Wish D): it happened more than once. A new race (minor) is formed with lanets from all races with the technology knowledge of all of them. Thanks Brad it's not aggressive otherwise could wipe out the others. No similar bug seen.
I've noticed 2 problems: - playing tournaments, established (mini) freighters can pass-through any mined asteroids without problems while previously it was impossible. - made a custom race: no basic prebuilt ship showed up in the shipyard (didn't try with latest beta but was no more that 15 days ago). Also some graphics were missing. One change request: when multiple ships/asteroids/starbases/mini freighters are stacked it's impossible to select what to attack.
Even if was said more than once... We have all approved Stardock for delaying the final release in order to get more things in and get a well polished product. Other companies would had released it and then polished. Right now the code is rather stable and enjoyable. A good number of users is in the beta so we are not really affected by the final release date. Let's say that it hurts more Stardock than us.
