CTD when buying Gravity Accelerator in Twilight

I have the same problem and I am afraid it's not just buying, but also building it.

I can confirm... (had to wait 20 turns...)
As it is developed the game crashes.
I've looked with the editor to the description and caachteristic but looks fine besides had a special ID.

I have not downloaded the final version 1.91, so I have a question about this crash issue -- once you crash, can you reload the game with the gravity accelerator in place and giving its bonus, or does the gravity accelerator fail to be built and continue to crash the game making it non-working or un-finishable?

The game continues to crash.
I gave up and didn't build the gravity accelerator.
Not sure if the bug is widespread.
Would be nice if you try it...

Ill try it again with the latest version and report back later.
But I think I might have tried once too since the update and still had gotten the crash.

I have the same problem. Buying or building Gravity Accelerator crashes to the desktop. I am running the latest version available in Stardock Central (1.91.021).

I went through the SmartException process and emailed the zip files to support@stardock along with the game save file.

I'm puzzled.
It's the first time I've submitted a bug and got no answer, no acknowledge.
Very common for other companies but very unusual for Stardock.

Gc2bugs seems to only send out auto-replies sporadically since most of the mail it gets is spam. As a general rule you shouldn't expect anything back unless Cari needs more info, or has a test fix for you to try.

For those having this issue, one other person who had it said that changing the SpecialID value for the Gravity Accelerators in PlanetImprovements.xml from 0 to 9 fixed it, so give that a shot as a temporary fix.

Kryo, I tried this and it didn't make a difference. The game still crashed. The SpecialID values are also different for GCII and DA (SpecialID 3), and TA (SpecialID 0), so I only tried it in TA. I am playing as the Terrans in version 1.91.021. When you queue Gravity Accelerators, the icon remains in the purchase window as well as being in the construction window. Other planet construction queues have it in their window as well. One-time purchases usually disappear once queued.

My only solution is not to build it.

Late in replying. But I can attest to Gravity Accelerators still crashing the game in the latest version.
