There are no cloaked ships. So it's definitely a bad thing that there were invisible ships on screen. In the GalCiv 2 beta you also had a similar problem. IIRC the game left the ship icon at one spot and the actual ship had moved on.
The Seer
My Condolences to you and his family. As for "online friends". I have many, all are real, and the loss of one is just as bad as if it was a "real life" one. I realised that a week ago when one online friend of me passed away as well.
If it's a X2 see the sticky in the bug related forum or go to this here
I hope they inlcude the long range guns as in TA and that the maps are at least as huge as in TA. There was 1 map (not sure if it was in the expansions) with 2 big "islands" where it took a while to get to the other side, long range radar "only" showed 1/5th or something of the map, and the long range guns didn't reach halfway.. Still, that was far more then C&C long range guns could do..
And people complain at SD for not giving support... Thumbs up
Tho I doubt xtrak will respond in a nice manner and add something he hasn't allready said in one way or another I do believe he should be given the ability to repsond in this thread to the last few post. IMO that is.
@WebReg Well said. Maybe SD should make you their diplomat
You might want to try to disable you're onboard sound (I guess it's onboard; the Realtek AC97 Audio) in the BIOS.
They sure do.. In a few games it made going to war almost impossible as it would mean all other races would (could, if they decided to) go to war with me to honnor the alliance.. Funny thing, if race A as an alliance with C and Race B has an alliance with C then when A attacks B then C does declare war on A but the alliance doesn't break with A and there's no war between them the next turn.
Read this; https://forums.galciv2.com/?ForumID=274&AID=102033#913740 It's a driver problem with dual core CPUs.
people seriosly need to stop doing this. Have you ever read the replies about the need to bump ? You seriously need to do that..
Stardock obviously likes this system. Obviously ? How's that ? They might like it because they made the software self, so that's understandable. However, if the server upgrades don't help, it might be a problem with the software. Perhaps they can fix it if needed, maybe they can't. There may be other reasons wh
1) Stardock uses only Mircosoft servers/languages. That means ASP.NET; PHP is not even in the slightest consideration. They might want to have a look at the software from http://www.pd9soft.com/ Good package so far, tho I can't tell how well it performs with the number of users this site has. Seems rather adaptable as well, and updates aren't
Or just if you haven't tried allready edit the prefs.ini in my documents and settings\my games\galciv2
You're running a AMD dual core, not bad but you'll need some drivers as mentioned here Link Go to this (Link doesn't work ? Seems to add forum.galcic2.com before the actual link but that's not there in while eding) Anyway, the url is given in the first link I copied.. Should solve at le
Point 1 can be done. Just ask for money without anything in return... They never give it but neither do I
Hmm.. How about the ability to form a "tripple aliance" or a coalition ? I mean, the players can allready form an aliance with more then 1, but what I mean is that the player or AI "talks" to 2 or more others and if they agree all involved are alied to each other and not just to the initiator. If it's a coalition they could have a vote to go to war or not..
No time to read this entirely.. But It seems that the AI doesn't band together to stop you. If you own 40 to 50 % of the map it's game won mostly, especially if the remaining 50 to 60% is divided by 6 other players. Wouldn't it be in the best interest of the AI to work together against me at that point no matter what ?
@Onikazi Where did you find the specs for the 215T having a response 25ms ? All I can find is either info on the 215TW (8ms) or non english sites but those also mention that the 215T has a 8ms respose time. As for not being able to keep up with 25Ms, that doesn't sound true IMHO, the monitor may "lag" but it should still show a picture. The "25ms" has been a "problem" for many 3D games since there are LCD screens. It could be a problem if the game runs in a "refr
Oh, and as of 1.2 beta a game-breaking bug (skipping a production turn on load) hasn't been fixed, or even acknowledged by Stardock. AFAIK, this has been adressed by SD. It's ment to stop people from saving and loading often to get, for example, a certain random event, or a better "roll" during an invasion. And as long as this affect
I was playing a gigantic galaxy, 9 opponents. I swear that I had level at tough/intelligent, without randomize intelligence; that is how I have always been playing. After I had met 4 others I noticed I was far outpacing them. I had like 10 planets. They had one or two and very primitive. I checked their intelligence and all 4 were at "fool".
Wouldn't he need permision not only for the GFX but also for the use of the trademarks ?
You can enter the serial number in SD, right click on Galactic Civilazations II en select register. In the next screen make sure that GC2 is still selected and enter the serial you have. The extra jewelery is found when you build a ship, it's under extra - generic and has collector's edition structure as a desctreption.
IIRC there's a difference between the extra content and the Collectors Edition . The extra content is for everybody who has a key (a bonus for buying the game and not pirating it) So you do need to dowload the Collectors Edition Downloads. The theme is a seperate install and isn't installed while adding the jewelery. That's IIRC so if I'm wrong, I'm wrong.
What version are you playing ? This was a bug in one of the 1.1 betas, never had it in 1.11.
