Hi together, i found some equal posts in the "Download Problem" Thread but i want a new thread for the issue. ATM you can't download GalCiv2 from Stardock. The Program starts to download gc2.sdc and after arriving 100% he restart the download process. I've started the install before going lunch and did some other things and after i come back i saw it still download gc2.sdc. It must be downloaded more than 100 times (> 1.000 kb/sec). I hope i don't get any trouble f

Dom3 is just the best fantasy strategy game for multiplayer games! You can make you turn whenever you want (in a timeline between the hosts) send it and got you new turnfile. That mechanisme works far better than a "real" online MP turnbased game.

The +44% From building doesn't change when i lower/increase tax rate. So its not important. Here is my approval summery with 30% taxes: Morale=52%. -74% from population (i've 21.79). -32% from Taxes. +44% from buildings on planet. -8% from debt. +13% from native ability. +10% from high quality planet. I'm still not sure why the building bonus is so low.

Well i read about morale in the wiki and maybe i just had 20 base morale which means the building bonus is only modifying this value. However its really hard to belive that i've all the best planet improvements but can't support my poeple (no aggroculture built)

Hi, i'm playing the Thalans on masochistic difficult setting. On home planet Thala i've Civ Capital +50% morale Political Capital +50% morale Temporal Entertainment +50% morale 1 Zero-G Amusement +25% morale In sum this makes 175% morale + 20 bonus through harmony crystals (also built on this planet) The detail screen shows the correct 175% morale bonus but on my approval i see only 44% morale bonus from my buildings. Nice! But when did the Iconians changed from a Research Race to a Spy Race? Is there any other Research Race now? I think there are at least one another Race with +50% Spy Bonus.

Hi together, i post this the third time but never got an answer. Iconian Refuge means to be "a highly inventive and proud race". But instead of being inventive the qick stength/weak stats means "+Good Espionage" and "-Weak Research Skills"(?!) In fact they don't get any bonus or malus in research. They have +50 espionage, +20 morale and 7 points left. Compare this with krynn: +50 espionage, +50 morale and 9 points left. In adition +10 econ, +50 def, +25 diplom

It's great that you don't think it's a problem, but I don't understand what you're saying. I say its a great bonus of a custom race to put all points in best combinations. You could even combo with a super ability of your choice which is a huge advantage. If you take a fix race you just can't do that because you're limited to a lot fewer ability points which can be allocate for free and you have to live with fix points wether you need muc

I don't understand the DA design for the iconian. Shouldn't they the research race in the game? They have +20 morale, +50 espionage and +7 logistics and only 7 ability points more for free For example the krynn have this all a way better and have 9 ability points. Did stardock forgot to give the iconians some abilities or what happens here?

Pnakotus I don't know your problem. With the normal races you're restricted and this give you some point bonus. With custom races you can choose the best combos, for this you don't have a bonus. Thats fine for me.

There is already a very good turnbased fantasy strategy game on market: Dominions 3 Its not the best in SP (because AI can't use all the possible strategies) but genious and full of different actions in MP. It could be played server hosted or PBEM. Forum Link Game Link

What happens to Iconian Refuge? Did they lose the research bonus. +50% espionage and 20% morale and only 7 ability points is all the get. The Krynn with 50% espionage as well are far better. I hope thats just a beta bug and will be changed in the final version. Maybe anyone have a look on it.

Thanks for the answer! I didn't know that. Maybe there should be some information on the planet screen. The Max Value shouldn't show only the Food Production Max. Great work with DA btw. For me its much more fun to play than DL.

Playing DA beta 2b with Torian Confederation and their super breeder ability i've suddenly a stop of all growing on my planets. My 2 of my 3 planets aren't full and the first one stop growing at 7,44 Mio. people the second one at 2,89 Mio. people. Approval is 100% and i see nothing why there isn't any increase. Ok, i solved the problem. Just uninstall and reinstall the game didn't work. But after uninstall stardock central and deleting all folder and reinstaling stardock central i got the correct updated version list of the game. Don't know why this happened. But at least it works now

I never had a problem with Stardock and i've bought GalCiv1 + 2 and now DA. But now i've something strange: On my PC at home i've a perfect installation of GalCiv2 Dark Avatar beta 2b. But on my laptop stardock only bring up 0.20.026 as available download (updated 8th dec. 2006). When i install this the version don't work correct. The only difference between my laptop and home pc is that i use a proxy for my laptop to download. But that proxy connection works right (i

Just to clarify: Outsite of a battle the display for weapoms says 1/1/1, inside a battle (when showing fleet battles) the display where the weapon symbols shown says 0/0/0. It seems say count different.

I've the United Planet Law active which gives all Transports +1 of each Weapons. The Transport Displays shows 1/1/1 but they never do any damage. I had a fight between 2 Transport Fleets and they did no damage each other (and there was absolute 0 defence, no starbase protection nothing!). The Fight runs in the battleround limit.

I've to step back from my own bug report. I double checked it and all the colonizer have the correct tech. In my first test tech trading was off and even with the best spies i didn't see the techs completly. The spy report (in later game) and the really fast colonize from the AI (in early game) let me believe they didn't have the tech. (No super ability that would help). But with tech trading on i see that see just research it really fast. Sorry for my mistake. Next t
