Ok, I stumbled on this glitch totally by accident. In a game I started recently (2.02) as the Terran Alliance the Thalans beat me to Xiathiam Hull Plating(spelling). Well I went to trade with them, And I noticed something strange. I can get them to trade a massive amount for almost nothing by adding the Xiathiam Hull Plating to trade window last. To give an example I offered an Economic Threaty and I got 1707BC(all their money), 4Million Influence points, Economic Treaty, Reaserch Treaty, 6 t

Ok, thanks much. Thats all I needed to know!
Ok, I have a quick question. I'm about to start a new game, and I'm confused by this option. It would seem obvious that by clicking the the "Tech Stealing" option I would enable tech stealing in my game...but, counter intuitivly the manuel says that enabling this option prevents tech stealing. If that is the case, shouldn't it read "Prevent Tech Stealing". Any way, I was just looking for a diffinitive answer on which it was, so I can start my new game. Thanks!
Ok, I had to update to 1.96 on stardock because impulse wanted me to uninstall the game first (i don't know why) and when I tried to do this through impulse it told me I was missing a file. So, I updated it though stardock, and it still says it's running 1.91 on the main screen. i don't know if it really is still on 1.91 somehow, or is just saying that. Is this a known issue or am I going to have to reinstall?
Problem FIXED. WoW, I can't believe it was that simple. Thanks much guys. Yall Rock!!! P.s. Stardock is the best gameing company out there!
So any suggestions, or should I just reinstall?
also the other versions work fine. Its just Twilight that I can't start up. This may not matter, but When I open up the Task Manager to close it, it says it's running version 1.92, but in Impulse/Stardock central it says its updated to 1.95, so maybe I just need to reinstall it. P.s. Sorry for the long run on sentence.

Ok, well I have the latest patch installed, but whenever I start a game it just goes to a black screen, and I can't play. Does anyone know what to do about this. I searched around on the forums but I couldn't find anyone else having this problem, so I decided to make a new post.
sorry for the misunderstanding :) Actually theres is something similar in Warhammer. Each character has different skill mastery trees they can go down, as well as other was to make your character unique. Also all classes in the game have some form of damage they get to do, so no one will be stuck doing the same think in a fight.
These are all really nice. I downloaded alot of em, and will probly use them shortly :)
I love the Yor, but I don't think just because they are Robots they should get such a huge advantage over the other races as starting with the ability to Colonize all (or even most) of the special planets. They already start out with the ability to customize one type, and thats enough. --Don't forget, they arn't just Robots. They are robots that have been granted Sentience. Even if they could survive some of harsher environments without any technological aid, none of them are going to want t
I doubt we'll be able to create new supper abilities, I'd guess that is beyond the scope of any of the editors since a supper ability would need code to support it. Well... given the nature of the Racial Tech Trees, it wouldn't be too hard to imagine being able to give a new "Super Ability" in the form of a unique, non-tradeable/stealable tech that gives some bonus that could normally be given via techs. For instance, a race with No Super A
LoL the event happend fairly early, so the peacekeepsers are suiciding themselves on some of my more beffed up star bases! (not military ones either)
lawl if It does work as intended they need to change its description.
Ok, there is post a few times down about this. Sorry everyone. - Is it really supposed to attack everything?
Not sure if this has been mentioned, but I just got the peacekeeper mega event, and not only do they destroy military ships outside my influence, but they are destroying all ships no matter if they are in my influence, or out of it (including freighters and starbases)...this is a game breaking glitch.
Can I finish my current game, or will I have to start a new one?
SWEET. Im glad someone asked this question. Thats going to be pretty cool if you can custom make their tech tree. What about superabilities? Will you just choose from the current ones, or will you be able to make a custom one of these as well?
I too like that they build constructors, though I wish they would do something more productive and less anoying than spam influence starbases (especially considering minors have no influence)
the gloves come off
Im shaking in my boots! lol your funny.
You ramble without even clearly stating your point
My point was clear. I stated that I like alot of habbitable planets, but that on Tight clusters even with abundant star/habbitable planets Immense seemed empty compared a Gigantic map of comparable settings. Loose clusters on the other hand has near no empty space, which I don't like either, and mearly stated there was current
I keep double posting for some reason, sorry everyone.
In what way did I bandwagon? Do you know why the number of planets is caped in the current beta? It's because there is a lot of memmory problems with the immense galaxy sizes. The larger the galaxy, the larger the mommory problems, and thats why there isn't a map that makes "life support Udgrades necessary" as you say. Now when the senario edior comes out you can edit the life support technologies so that they aren't as good (I imagine im not sure at what lenghts you can edit things). This won't
sorry It double posted for some reason
Im wondering though if the AI is coded so that It knows your demanding the starbase because its in your territory, and not just because you want it. Im guessing not, since it would be pretty difficult to get the AI to assume something like this. You could embargo them, but I don't think the AI would be able to relize you are doing it because they wouldn't remove the starbase.
