I didn't want to, but I upgraded to 1.3 to try it out. Started a game on painful instead of crippling, but already having economic problems and that is usually what I am good at. I will play it a little while and see how bad it gets.
Am I the only one that hates it when these new versions come out? You spend months deveolping a successful strategy you like, earning medals and moving up in the metaverse, then they come out with a new version that messes everything up. The new ones always have lots of bugs, and they totally change the strategy, so it is like having to learn a new game all over again since all your old strategies are no longer effective. Also when a new version comes out they devalue your old metaverse score
I noticed the same for Grand Moff Tarkin, Sith Master and several others. What is going on here????? If they delete mine or mark them as cheated, then I am quitting the metaverse, not going to start all over after spending months playing 47 games.
Master U, For some reason on your site, whenever I try to enter the "metaverse" forum on it today, I can not get in. It says "Only users granted special access can read topics from this forum".
I noticed we have moved back into 7th place this morning, now we have to try to stay there and make our move on 6th place.
It would appear that Rallos Zek did join as well as a couple others. Welcome to the Empire. I finished two more games, working on that Racial Victory medal. I did the Drengin and Altarian races and am now working on Arcean. Had a rather slow start with the Arceans, but it looks like I am beginning to take control in this one. "Galactic Empire" would have been good. I don't care for the name "The Great Empire", doesn't sound like Star Wars to me. Just my opinion. I think y
I like "Dark Lords of the Sith", but I also like Galactic Empire, so I guess which ever you prefer. I would rate them as follows: 1. D 2. B 3. A

Thanks Master U, that was my highest score so far. Actually I was a little disapointed, I expected it to be higher, because it was the first time I kept all settings on abundent on a gigantic map, and got the population over 4 trillion. That was a long game.
They are both okay, but I think I prefer the original. Darker, more sinister look. I like that they use purple, purple and black are the colors I use for my empire.
I was a member of the Jedi Republic, but as has already been stated, that group appears to have died. I am the only one who had posted a game there in more then a month, and most have not posted a game in two or three months, and since my character is a Sith Lord, I felt it would be more enjoyable to switch to the new and more active Empire. We are now 8th on the list, so hopefully we can continue to rise higher. Oh, and thanks for making me a Senator, that was a pleasant surprise, and thanks
Yeah, I hate it when they surrender to an empire I did not want to destroy yet, because they do become my new target when that happens. What I have learned to do is once I have an empire down to only two or three planets, I make peace with them for money or teches, then wait till I have a large enough fleet of warships and transports near by to take all remaining planets in one turn. That usually works but sometimes they go ahead and surrender to someone else anyway even when I am not technica
Ouch! I dropped from position 207 to 458, and the game is a lot harder now on challenging. How discouraging. Doesn't seem worth the effort to submit to the metaverse any longer. Guess I will just try to play on an easier setting for my own enjoyment and not submit them.
Grrrrrrrr............. Darn!!! It just happened to me. I didn't see this post til now. That is annoying. Was playing the Yor and did not notice the minus. Just sent my save game in, hopefully it will get fixed. I think I am going to stop playing til they get the metaverse and the cheating flag fixed.
I decided to join the Jedi Republic. In GalCiv 1, I was a member of G.R.O.S.S. because I always play as an evil character and I liked their sense of humor, but since my character has always been a Sith Lord type rather then a pirate, I decided it was more appropriate to go with the Star Wars theme of the Jedi Republic. I hope it is alright for the Jedi Republic to have some of us evil Sith among your ranks as well as the good Jedi.
