Oh and by the way stop trying to ruin the game for others by thinking your influence is stronger then any others. I.E. A much better slogan would be for you to get on the MP bandwagon so that stardock takes notice, and allows me to whip your cheating ass, online. Dude, why would you think that? I have no influence here man lol, Ive done

Nice point csddab, As I mentioned, I think the built in cheats will destroy the longjevity of the game, plus, they destroy it, I am also guily of useing them as I stated earlyer, when your on the ropes, its hard to resist, most games I dont use them at all though, I even played a game to my death, it was not easy though, anyoe can type anything, but the truth is, cheats destroy the game, let others make the cheats to mess up the game, it shouldnt be SD though, as I said, I can hack a

@ onowak LOL, look sweetie, try finishing high school, find a nice boy, goto your prom, and have a nice life, word of advice.. avoid the comedy field (sorry sweetie, you need a bit of work, but hey!! You can be whatever you like when you grow up!!) Liked the fruit loops thing though, did you come up with that by yourself? Or did your mommy help you with that one? LOL look girl, it was a post on a opinion, had nothing to do with mods, dont feel so threatened, SD wont remove your codes sweetie ok.

For those that think that the existing cheats are a forum of "Freedom of choice" I say that any game that includs a means to defeat itself is not a game, I am not rich by a long shot, but I love this game, and I can see the demise of interest with built in "defeate me like a bug" codes, and this game deserves more, thats why, knowing people would not like me for posting this, I did, I REALLY like this game, it has so much moddability, even if its for mods that people make for themselves, the soo

Thats fine, glad I sparked a conversation of interest Yet I do NOT agree with you, you seem to think, cause the cheats were already added, that they are some form of freedom of choice, sorry, but there not, there a means to a end, for all I know my total conversion mod will suck, and that makes it irrelivent to this disscussion, Obviously I hope people like it, but who knows, and this thread I

@ Renfl I agree, this is a awsome game man I still feel that cheat codes will be the death of many players playing the game, but thats just my opinion, I simply dont see a point in them except to undermind the game. I DO understad the points made, and there all valide, and intellegently made. IMHO I still think they undermind the game, I mean look at it like this, why would you spend so much ti

@Eidolonsfury , thanks I respect your intellegent opinion and it means allot, and as to your question "Does it really matter how someone plays the game" Well no, not really, people cant cheat themselves out of the fun of the game, or not, and I see your point on the cheat codes...sort of. I dont see cheat codes as a mandatory choice/funfactor as they ultimatly remove the long term fun of a game. Yes I agr

True, but havein a ton of built in cheats doesnt help any, I realize most people will want cheats, but after a month or so, you'll never see them here again, unless there posting on how easy the game is. Which IMO its not, unless I use cheats (which I am guilty of some time) ST

Why do have such a control issue with what others do while playing a stupid game? Do you try to control everyone in your life to such an extent? That is unhealthy. Your money would be better spent in therapy. If its a stupid game, why do you care that I post my opinion on something? Why did you bother posting here if its

It limits a choice that has been given, thats how it limits. I'm sorry, call me anything you want, but I fully believe in choice...you don't want to use cheats, doesn't mean someone else out there does, which then comes down to you don't want someone out there to use cheats with your mod...makes since, the one I'm working on would just suck and become pointless if you use

Besides, everyone else complains about something (unfortunatly, thats the way of things) This is the single most game killer, especially if you want to put out a mod to challenge people (this post was not out of the blue, my friend plays the game, and he told me he had to add a lot of money to himself to deal with my last mod, it kinda pissed me off, and made me realize the fact that no matter how much time I or anyone (as there are far better modders then me) spend on a mod, it means nothing if

Limited? How is not haveing cheats that undermind your game be limited? Remember, SD touts this as a highly moddible game, thats why Im here, but if any game, any level, any mod, any scenario can be beat with a CTRL+? whats the point? How is not haveing cheat codes that destroy all the hard work you put into a game be limiting? I respect your opinion, I do, I respect everyone til they give me a reason not too, but at the same time, I respectfully dont agree with you. ST

Brace up, man! Get a hold of yourself. Consider it an excercise in self control. lol sorry man got a bit acrried away there, but cheats do destroy a game, and mods that are put out for it, I wanted to make a strong point for my case

Plus, with so many game cheats avalible, you will cause modders that put out huge mods to get "its too easy" responses!! You promote a highly modable game, but as you have built in cheats, you not only undermind your work, but ours!! Sorry if this is a selfish opinion, but this is how I feel. It is the single worse feature of GalCiv2 IMHO. Again, I mean no disrespect, I admire your commitment to this game, your dedication, and interactivity with us mere mortals, but cheat code screw

-ORIGINAL POST DELETED- Everyone has a right to play as they see fit and you do need the debug mode to test things out when your makeing a large mod. I was wrong is asking them to remove them, sorry I mentioned it, and especially in the stupid way I did. ST

There should be no limits on where anyone builds anything, only consequences, but ATM there is no "get out" option for us, once/if that is added, the playing field is equaled IMO, why should boundries limit what someone does? Its up to you weather you tolerate it or not, same as them, but again, we have no "get out" option, other then attacking and I feel STRONGLY that we need a get out option ourselves. I see it like this, the AI is a coward as it is, the last thing we need is somet

PS, this scenario was made with the following in mind: the hardest level you can handle, Maso is ideal.. NO TECH trading, and large or bigger map, with abundant everything, with one level below normal tech tradeing, this is how I made/tested it, as long as you use NO cheat codes, it WILL challenge you!! (well far more then a normal game will) No Victory conditions except conquest (its already set up this way) ST
