Hi guys, sorry for the delay. I'll check and see whats up with the direct link. Stay tuned.

Hi guys, just wanted to get an update to this. When you guys are ready, I'd like to put together an opt-in beta patch for GalCiv II on Steam with our consolidated efforts. This okay with you guys?
I just replaced the exe file. If there was something else I needed to do, I didn't! LoL. I started a small game, 3 opponents, normal difficulty, occ/com/com for planets, as Altarians. 1. My economy was ridiculously good. 26% tax, 100% spending, +77 net income all due to very high tourism. (Numbers after about 10 turns). 2. The density of anomalies is such that my surve

HI all. Going through the google doc. Please make sure you guys put in credits for yourselves so that we can make sure the people doing the hard work here get the accolades they deserve. I've made the change to the Drengin personality for their colonizing. I'm currently working on the Iconian AI personality for their planet management. I'm pretty sure I can fix up all these things shortly. I expect to followup this post latger today with a
Sounds promising. They've also got me set up with Remote Desktop if there's some tweak I need to make to the c++ code to help with this. Obviously not an ideal solution but sufficient if there's just some few lines of code involved. Brad
Greetings! Just wanted to check in and see how things are going. There was talk that a code change was needed? I have asked for a VM to be made so that I can compile it though it would not be a pleasant task (you have to run on Windows XP to get it to compile). But if necessary I'll try to do so if the SD team has the VM ready for me. But otherwise, where do things stand? Thanks!
Hi all, I wanted to check in to see how you guys are feeling about the fan made XML patch at this point. Are you ready for us to integrate it or do you want/need more time to organize? Thanks!
We're going to be looking for the actual XML or other files to drop in along with documentation so that QA can go through and test them.
Hi all! So what we'll be looking to do is integrate a set of updates based on your preferences into the game along with updating the credits in the game to reflect your contributions. I'll check in on this thread one week from today to see what has been collected and we can go from there.
Greetings! Going through this now.
In case you haven't heard, GalCiv III is in development! You can sign up for the Alpha/Beta programs over at www.galciv3.com

The Ultimate Edition of Galactic Civilizations I is now available on Steam! Check it out: http://store.steampowered.com/app/214150/
It might be. I'm not sure I'm familiar with that situation. But my suggestion would be to copy and paste the serial # from your Steam receipt and see if that works. I'l be around if you need any help. Brad (designer of the game)
Galactic Civilizations is near and dear to my heart. I haven't been able to return to it as soon as I'd like because Stardock got so big after its release that I got spread between a bunch of projects. Now that Impulse is sold off, I have more time to spend on the games unit again.
It's funny how I've spent more time this year enjoying pre-released games than actual finished games.
IMO, A beta game like Minecraft or in this case Fallen Enchantress is totally the way to go. You get to see all kinds of different ideas tried out. Most betas are annoying though. They're just marketing exercises where you have no real chance of seeing change. Each beta (I hope) feels like a "different" game.
I was an OS/2 zealot. No doubt about it.
I think at this point there's nothing more to discuss. And yes, I make my decisions based on what's best for Stardock. Providing good customer service is one of those things which is why we're making sure people can download their stuff from Stardock directly in the event they don't choose to continue to use Impulse. And yes, when a customer demands something that is not good for Stardock, I consider that unreasonable. Businesses that do that too often don&
I'm sorry to take the nay-sayers seat again, but I'm a little tired of this argument. Why are you people giving ships such omgwhatthehellhowawesomeisthat!! graphics if you focus on the scale? When there are "thousands upon thousands" of ships, nobody is going to see a single percent of the graphical oomph you're throwing into this game anyway.
If turrets are something that mean something (like aiming) it means that there needs to be a
LOL. Hence the mixed message in the first paragraph. It's a delicate balance. Loyalty != zealotry.
I can't right now. I haven't been able to since March. And for how long? How long until you sell this one too? I don't mean to be ungrateful - I've enjoyed GalCiv 2 for many many hundreds of hours, it was a fantastic purchase and game from your company. I'm just saying, you told us you wanted out of the digital game distribution business, and when proferred with a way to do so, you tell me I'm being mean or something. I'm frustrated.
You can (or will be soon depending on the game) download the game directly from us.
but instead we get some bs about endangered species.
Whose feathers are blue. I just forgot to mention that part. The feathers are blue.
I should also add that we do intend for new releases (like Fallen Enchantress and Sins Rebellion) to have their keys be interchangeable.
