The preferences file for GalCiv2 has a bunch of cryptic settings. For instance, the Initialization section has "HyperthreadEnhancement", "ThreadedInitialLoading" and "ForceTextureUpdate" settings, set by default to 0, while the Sound section has "UserDefinedPlayList", "CurrPlayListDir",......
