I have played a bit with fleets and was annoyed by various things:
1) I have increased my logistic ability, from 14 to 22. So I decided to go to all the rally points where I have fleets and change them. But since I have fleets with a logistic value of 12, I need to split some. The only easy way is the hot key U. But with the mouse, you need to select the fleet, move it to a square without any other ship/fleet. Then you can disband the fleet and you need then to move all ships toward the other fleets.
2) It is difficult to access easily to one specific ship in a fleet. And this can be needed when you want to upgrade the ships in you fleet. You can do the following: select the fleet, move it to an empty square. Then you will have the list of ships composing the fleet. Then you have 2 options: first, removing the ship from the fleet and move it to an empty square. The second option is to note the name and select the ship through the ship list (F1), but that could be tricky if you have the automated name (classname + identifier) if only the class name appears
3) When various ships/fleets are on the same case, you can get the information window for each ship/fleet. But this information window doesn't:
- show you the composition of the fleet
- allow you to disband a fleet to get all individual ship
- allow you to upgrade a ship
4) Sometimes you may want to move all ships/fleets that are located on a specific suqare to another square. You can select all ships/fleets like if you want to put them all in a fleet and then set a destination for autopilot. The tricky part is that only one ship/fleet will move when you set the destination while all others will have their autopilot set and will move later. It is a bit disturbing to see only one thing moving when having set destination for many ships/fleets. To be true, I was wondering if the destination was correctly set for the ships/fleets that haven't moved.
5) when you have lots of fleets at the same square, if you select one and move it, the widow at the bottom will display the ships/fleets in the square you have left while you still are controlling the fleet that have moved. It is a bit disturbing not to have a display of the thing you are moving
