Classic style, or modern style only?

Are classic styled skins allowed to be entered too or is it for modern style skins only?

I asked the same thing over at wincustomize. I think it was (Jafo) that told me, that the more complete it is, the better chance you have of winning.

A classic style skin can be just as complete as a modern styled one

The actual reason for asking this is that I havent got a clue to how to code a modern styled skin.
I dont wanna push on to complete the classic skin I'm working on if its not allowed in the competion

The classic style is basically the old style WinAmp 2.X skins (non-freeform)

I think that if they mentionned Winamp 5 skins, it's that they want Modern skins... in my opinion..

In the "upload a new skin box" it says .wal or .wsz. So I guess WA 2.X format skins are allowed

But... I think you have more chance to win with a Modern skin, because they are unique not only by colors (like Classic skins) but by shape and style.

i truly hope the judges are unbiased against the classic skins and they give them an equal chance of winning if they are deserving.

As long as the skin RUNS on Winamp 5 it's fine.

But obviously classic skins will be at a disadvantage I suspect. I'm not a judge though.

Dunno if I agree with being a disadvantage though....
There are alot of classic skins that are far better than most modern skins, imo

A Winamp2 skin might have difficulty in some of the categories (like power user, for example) but its likely to have a fair chance in some of the other categories, like best themed.
