I have 2 requests for enhanced visual highlights in the game:

1) Currently selected ship. When I am zoomed out, especially when zoomed ALL THE WAY out to icons-only mode, it is almost impossible to tell which ship is currently selected and waiting for movement orders. It would be SOOOO helpful if there was a bigger "blue circle", or make the icon flash, or something to indicate what ship I have selected
2) On the colony management screen, it would be very very cool if you could put some kind of highlight behind buildings that are not constructed yet. Right now, the constructed buildings look practically the same as the "queued for construction" buildings. This makes it very hard to tell the state of my colony improvements at a glance. All I am asking for a some kind of color difference on the tile underneath (maybe red or grey - something "negative") for the tiles that have "queued but not finished" improvements on them.
