Crashes

The intro and game setup screens looks great. Unfortunately, that's as far as I got. GalCiv II consistantly crashed a second after the loading box appeared.
I was using a laptop with a Celeron processor, 300-ish MB of RAM, and an integrated graphics card.
Has this happened to anyone else?

Sorry, I didn't really read the other posts. I updated my graphics driver to Intel Extreme Graphics 2 and it seems to be working fine.

The only current game crash I experience is related to Alt-Tabbing in and out of the game. That's a gaurrenteed crash every time.

I had one crash while saving, but that' s just cause i clicked to many times and got impatient since the save's take a while (which i'm ok with).

In all honesty its very stable. I've bumped back autosave from every 3 turns when I started and wasn't sure how stable it is, to every 20 turns now.

Mike again, with a nice big bug. I can't load a saved game. And here's why....

I didn't think it was an issue, but for some reason when I started my last game it loaded me with all the other races pre built ships instead of just my own....

And i think that's why it won't load.

8 hours down the tubes....oh well. I coulda done better anyway.

I've had a very irritating crash bug with my savegames too. They won't work. Every time I try to load one, I get the "Encountered a Problem" error window. I've lost 6 games that way.
