Ok, not sure which forum to put this in but I've been getting confused with the whole movement thing. You have SCT and PC for actual movement rates. They appear to be the same thing, but should they be? I see PC used in the details screen for range and I see SCT used for range in other screens. Then you have a gid system which seems to be unlabled. You have a larger gid which is what? I assume sectors. Then it is broken up into a smaller 15 x 15 gid, which is what? Parsects? If parsects that makes no sence because movement is I thought was done in parsects. Currently none of this makes any since from a game point of view. It needs to be simple and intuitive. Players should not have to do math to figure out the range of a ship and guess at how things will round off.
Since it would be likely be hard to change the grid system I suggest that you change the range to match. Range should move in increments of someting like .066 rather than a straight .3. It is .066 to match the movement of 1 sector / 15. Its a sucky solution, but the best I can think of off the top of my head. Changing the grid to a 10 to 1 is the best solution though.
