I wanted to call this one out before the devs pass the "point of no return" for creating graphics and effects...
The beam weapon graphics look great. You see the beam his the enemy, and you see their shield (if they have any) light up when hit. However, when my ships that have Miniballs fire, it looks COMPLETELY STUPID! In the tech descriptions, it says that the projectile weapons fire at extremely high velocity, not "in a slow silly arc toward the enemy from 2 sides at once".
Please try to model the projectile weapons after "Earth type" projectile weapons, where you see a muzzle flash from the gun, the projectile itself is too fast to see with the naked eye, and you *may* see some kind of impact on the target.
Before people nitpick this and say "you need oxygen and gunpowder in order to have a muzzle flash", well I beat you to it! I just want to see something better than that lame-ass Miniballs firing sequence, whatever that may turn out to be.
PS: Everything else is looking SO DARN GOOD!!!
