WARNING: uninstall before upgrade !!!

I noticed that you have to uninstall Beta3 before upgrading to Beta4 after that many of the bugs I reported just stoped to happen.

I believe the issue related to the people using TotalGaming (like me) and happens because changed program file - before game was installed into "TotalGaming.net" folder now it installs into "TotalGaming" folder.

So using old shortcut run some strange mixed bread

I upgraded from beta 3 without a problem from home. I'm not sure what the issue is. We're working on updating the backend of SD Central to better support rapid updating of very large files.

I had no problems upgrading. it went fine.
BUT after upgrade system gave a lot of "string not found messages" , crashes and such.
After I uninstalled CalCiv2 and installed again - 90% of them gone.

I couldn't download, so I am uninstalling Beta 3 and installing 4 right now. Keeping fingers crossed.

Hmmm...I too had zero problems upgrading and zero problems like the ones you described afterward.

BTW I'm using SC build 95. It appears that build 97 might be the culprit for you guys.

I had no problems upgrading. Of course, I only got in three ten minute games (where the computer consistently started out RIGHT next to me, and began colonizer spamming every planet it could find) so I have yet to find any bugs. Looks great so far, though!

i think .97 SDC bulid is a faulty bulid? and Dumb down the AI until you can control them more effectivly (learnt that the hard way with Beta 3 IE:when they Had self-awareness they always gang banged me! I REALLY HATED THAT) anyways the base game looks fine i have yet to try it full (IE: the Media pack). im gonna try to reinstall SDC and see if that helps ill do it after i get out from my duties (About 60 mins or so from the writing of the post or so) hope it works...Then im sure to give more compliments!
