In a game, I was first to colonize a planet in an uninhabited star system. I named the planet "Earth" to see if the game would allow it (I was playing Humans and started on Earth). It did let me name my new planet "Earth", but it did not rename the star.
My question:
If you are the first race to colonize a planet in a particular star system, and you rename that planet, is the star supposed to be renamed to reflect that? For instance, I name my planet Booger. Should the star be renamed Booger, and the planet be set to Booger III (or whatever number is appropriate)?
In a perfect world, I'd like to see the following flexibility:
1) If you have the majority of planets in a star system, you can rename the STAR
2) You can rename any PLANET that you have a colony on, or let it default to the name of the star, plus the orbit number
3) On the Race Selection screen, you should be able to name your home STAR and home PLANET as two separate names (like Sol and Earth)
