Last night I fired up the game and was just sort of messing around. Within 5 turns I got a message saying that there was strong pro-Dreg sentiments on my home world. Two turns after that it had gone and rebelled. A few turns later, my second planet started to rebel, a turn or two later it was gone. Three turns later my third and final planet jumped ship on me and I lost.
Reading about how the AI isn't really in the game yet, or isn't very good and then losing to it sure is embarassing... especially because I set it to "cakewalk" just to be safe... lol
