Does this event EVER end?  I just realized that here I am, I've already research technological victory (the victory may be disabled, but the bonuses apparently are not!), I've almost finished researching the entire tech tree (plus I traded for some I can't normally get), I own over half of an Immense galaxy... and I'm still stuck at 5 moves tops.  I literally, at this point, have no need to even use engines anymore.  I have enough bonuses to use ships with no engines, and move at 7 spaces, if it wasn't for this random event.  It takes somewhere around 40 turns to cross my own empire.  When you produce stuff as fast as I do, that's a long 40 turns. 

Am I just doomed to never go beyond 5 spaces a turn so long as I continue this game, then?  'Cus, this is getting kinda old...

(Not to mention the prevalence of free super-powered ships going to losing factions has convinced me that all events need to be turned off... PERMANENTLY.)
