Certain threads won't show latest posts

Certain forum threads that I subscribe to (because I've posted to them) show up in my subscriptions as having been updated, but the forum won't show me the latest posts. 

One is 3 Tips for Using Stardock's Start10

and another is PC Game Deals Thread

Any known problems with these threads?  Thanks.

Yes, but the post count remains the same. If there were 8 posts including the SPAM, when the SPAM is deleted, it still shows 8 posts, even though there are only 7.

In a wonder of self-referential-ness, this thread is now one of the ones I was asking about in my original post.  It says there are 5 replies (probably 6 after this post) but only shows me 4.

Edit: Nah, never mind.  After I added this post the thread was marked as read in my subscription list.

Stardock's forum structure is far more complicated than most people imagine.

Your 'Op' came from 'Stardock Forums'.... your replies have come from 'Gal Civ III Forums'....and I'm here via 'Joe User'.

What this means is the notification/update sequence actually needs a lag....so sometimes there will be replies indicated that you will never see as they have been subsequently deleted [spam].

The admin knows it's spam...but obviously the email [notification] system won't, so you still get the notification of a new comment...

BTW....my previous comment was via Wincustomize.com ...
