Thanks for the long needed education!

Newsletter : So you want to build a pc

I am a longtime user of Stardock.  This was my first newsletter.  Your article on "So you want...PC" was a college course about everything I didn't know that I didn't know.  Thank you.  I will approach my next PC purchase far better prepared than I've ever been before.   baldinva

Yeah, I have picked up so much tech knowledge from Stardock and the Wincustomize forums.  Thanks to them I have been able to build my own PCs and get some pretty decent specs to boot.   It's a whole lot more than about gaming and customization.  Yup, it is so much more.  There are some pretty cluey folk around here, so stick around and enjoy the ride.

Don't believe a word him say. Starkers been around since before Silicon Valley knew what sand was.

To come to Uvah's defense, I'm sure he knew what dirt was, it was just so long ago that nobody had a word for it and rules of grammar were thousands of years in the future.

If he'll admit he was there when Moses was, I concede your point, but from his postings it seems to me that he predates the Pentateuch, which means that his only communication was through hieroglyphics, which I'll admit means that he's completely in tune with Windows 10.

I resemble them remarks. Who do ya think taught Neanderthalls how to paint their hands on the rocks. Made a lot of bucks sellin' them the rocks. While starkers was sittin' by the fire tryin' to figure out how to roast the marshmellon without burnin' it.

The only thing Uvah's in tune with is the bleatings of a love-sick ram.

And I never sat by the fire roasting marshmallows... was never enough room once I put on the pterodactyl wings to cook.

Way back in the day, just about when the Doc was knee high to a grasshopper, some dude (name withheld due to licensing stuff) invented the hammer (really big rock) and chisel (another really big but skinny rock) to carve a name for himself (hint...he's a cap'n) on the wall inside his man cave. After he got done another dude (he's the ruler of NV named after a disenfranchised Burgermeister) saw what the cap'n had done and sought to emulate it. He succeeded and today they're called rubber duckies.

For a start, Doc was only knee high to a dinosaur [a little one] and never got much taller due to ingesting a medical potion intended to stunt the growth of the formidable and forever hungry T-Rex.  How he was going to administer this potion remained to be seen, but going by the size of T-Rex's fossilised remains, he failed to deliver the dose and Rexy boy's carnivorous rampage continued unabated.

And a giant asteroid got the blame for the extinction of dinosaurs.  

As for the man cave carvings, they were all pictures, cos back in the day I couldn't spell.  Oh, and if you visit various caves here and there, and see a picture of a man with an eye patch, that's me... cos I couldn't spell.  I say various caves because I moved house a bit.  The first place I got evicted from.  Yeah, the landlord didn't appreciate me drawing on the walls.

Nah, it was an early chariot.  Steam hadn't been invented yet, though witnesses who saw it coming out of the infuriated landlord's ears got ideas to build a train.
