We've been hiring up for a WC update. But it's going to be a LOT of work.

Hrmm ... I used to love the idea of the GDC, E3 and other interactive entertainment expos/showcases, but increasingly they feel like they're elitist, less for everyday people who love to play games to get our minds off our doldrums from our stupid jobs that fund our gaming habits, and more for the glitzy glamour snob types.  It'd be nice if we could at least get some HD footage out of them that is a direct screen capture instead of a digital video camera recording a bigscreen playback that doesn't show the crisp, vibrant graphics to most of us who don't have a few thousand dollars to blow on a convention.  I wonder if anyone has considered starting an online game expo to showcase new and upcoming games that don't require airfare, hotel, ground transpo, time off work, etc.  I get most of my gaming news these days from a couple of gamecasters (TotalBiscuit more than any other after HD retired and Husky doesn't do a whole lot anymore), but as hard as he works and as much time as he puts in, TB is just one guy who can only cover so much.  A lot of the sites I used to check out regularly seem to have shifted their attention away from PC gaming and into consoles which I am not interested in.
