So here is the issue. GC2 locks up at turn end/turn beginning. Everything moves normal up until that point (aka all of my stuff has moved, all the AI stuff has moved, but it's right before the next turn starts no notifications or anything. It always happens when a tech is going to finish that turn. It seems like it's running out of memory, so I went and got the LAA, and ran it. The lock up does NOT produce a debug.err (unless it's hidden deeply in a subfolder) so I cannot post it. Just found it, will post the next time I get the lock up.
This didn't happen until yesterday, so there may be some extenuating factors. I'll post the specifics below.
Immense Galaxy (This may be the root of the issue, as several other games played recently on smaller maps didn't have any problems)
All victory Conditions turned off, Normal Map
8 Minor Races, Random Events Occasional
Custom Race (Torian Tech Tree)
9 AIs (No Terrans, Krynn or Yor, no customs)
No Mods
Autosave is turned off, but it was causing the lock up as well.
My page file is 8g, 8g of Ram, 2.5ghz Quad Core (Intel Core 2), Win7 64bit, GTX Ti, Latest drivers etc.
It doesn't always lock up. Sometimes after killing the process I can restart and go a couple more turns, but eventually it crashes. It will pick a tech to lock up on for several turns, then I'll be able to finish it off at random. I left it in the locked up state for 30 minutes, so this is an actual lock up. This is very, very annoying as it resets Influence on every restart. Any help will be appreciated.
