Game freezes if I research Collective manufacturing IV

Don't know what to do, any good ideas?

If I change research to something else game works like a charm, but it still crashes if i want to complete the final Manufacturing tech on Yor.

I do have the latest patch. Installed it through Gamestop Version. 2.04. At least Game stop does not offer me anything newer.
