Ship's Experience Level indicated if the ship is level 0, 1, 2, etc.

Perhaps you should have mentioned that the ships experience level is displayed in the ships details menu. Also perhaps I should have looked in such an obvious place before asking the question ... 
OK I see now where a ships experience level is displayed. Now if I can only get a ship with some experience I might be able to give you some data points.
I'm still in the relatively early stages of what looks to be a very long game (at least in real time). Plus the way I play I usually don't end up with very much experience on my ships anyway, but if and when I do I'll let you know what I get.
As I mentioned Sole Soul could probably answer your question off the top of his head, I was hoping that by now that he would have seen this post and answered your question. He should show up sooner or later assuming we bump the thread enough to keep it in view.
