victory conditions and other civilizations

If deselected all the victory "types" including military the only way to end the game would be total conquest... is that correct? I ask because if I choose military victory as the only option does that mean that all other civilizations will have the same victory condition or does each civ have their own unique conditions?

All civs play by the same rules. If you disable tech victory as a win condition, anyone can still research it (and sometimes the AI will, even with it disabled), but it doesn't cause the game to end, or determine a "winner", and the same is true for the other win conditions.

No, they are game enders, but they don't trigger the end of the game if they're not enabled. Unlike SOASE, you can't continue playing GC2 after you've won.

Ok that makes more sense! so in the options if I don't choose any victory conditions the game goes on unitll I am defeated or I no longer have any enemies left to conquer. Truly open ended!!
