So it has been a while since I last defragmented my laptop. I run the windows defragger, come back 12 hours later and it says it's still working. Is something wrong? Is there free defragging software superior to the one included with windows?

OTHELLO - If he can't give you the info here in open forum (and share it with EVERYONE who has apparently been doing it wrong), it's a good chance that it's because it would be removed for SPAM and he'll want or need your email address.
I've been happy with Puran Defrag. Works continuously and is free.
