I haven't been able to update GalCivII to the recent version. It gets to around 55% and then returns an error and I have to start over.

I was in contact with Impulse Technical Support about this for a few days but can no longer get through their email filter on the issue. All I get are auto-replies instructing me to restructure my message. I've tried every possible combination of "Yes, Windows Firewall was disabled." I can think of over the past two days.

Unpatched the game is a little too ripe with CTD surprises so I have extended as much time as possible to try and update it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
