Corrupt Textures on Certain Ship Hulls

Hi all

I am having issues with the huge ship hull apparently being corrupted. On the core ship dreadnought, for example, the bottom of the ship has a shiny black color to it. I dont know if anyone else has had this problem before. My specs are

Intel i7 2630qm

Radeon hd6570m 1gb

8gb ram

1366x768 resolution

Also, all video drivers are up to date, and i am playing gal civ dreadlords 1.53. I dont know how to insert an image on these boards either, but i have an image saved on my computer. Thanks in advance

I had a problem like that which disappeared when I got an expansion pack. However, mine also occasionally turned ship preview pictures into multicolored gibberish, which doesn't appear to be happening to you.

If you're not seeing any other issues than that model/texture being corrupted, the first thing to do is try reinstalling.

That sort of issue generally indicates a texture memory leak in the driver.

I just installed the latest galciv 2 version from scratch using impulse (v1.53). Strange that it is really only the huge hull that is affected. I am wondering if i will just have to write it off as a permanent issue and subsequently have to buy the expansions to correct the problem . In addition, it happened to me on one other computer with a radeon g-card, so im wondering if that the issue...
