Alright. Lately, I've been getting into more issues with running older games on my system:
Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit
Creative Audigy 4
Intel Core 2 8500 3.1 WolfDale
GeForce 260 V1 (816 MB)
4 Gig DDR2 1066
So far, I've actually had great success with most of my collection, though Star Trek Armada, and Armada 2 have become a thorn in my side. The former can actually install, but does not play. It simply crashes after the splash screen, Yes I've tried all those bleeding solutions on the web. Compatability check, 1 proc affinity, 2 gigs of ram, etc. No go.
Armada 2 now simply no longer installs--Fleet Ops works great tho, hahaha, newer installer.
Now I've usually solve installation issues by nuking the Install Shield files and getting them reloaded by the program, but I don't know where to start on that.
And. Well... I've not found a forum for Multiplicity, and I think that may be over some serious use. I don't have much desk space, but I DO have a spot for a 2nd tower--which, I have plenty. I take in old parts, and computers, I've got seven towers with working components, and enough parts themselves laying about to build three more. Would Multiplicity work with me here? Having Win 7 64 Bit on my main tower, and the 2nd, packing Windows XP, and Windows 98 in Dual Boot?
The reason why, is like I said, enough room for a 2nd tower. I have two monitors already with dual ports, both have a dvi, and a vga port, so video output is a non-issue, it would be the Keyboard, and Mouse that'd be tricky.
Any ideas here?
